I still think that LD has done well to get into final. From what I observe, LD want to win this match but physically he is not fit enough to do so. I don't think he is overconfident. He hasn't practised since he got the knee injury until last week. He try to win this match by using controlling skills and avoid using jump smash to save energy and avoid aggravating the knee injury. He also moved slower than usual. Overall, I think he is not as good as last two matches.

Srikanth just played his usual game and has done good work in powerful smashes at the expense of his energy. If this match goes into the third game, the result will be different.

Losing this match is not bad thing for him and for us too. At least he knows apart LCW, other players are catching up. Hope we can see the aggressive LD again soon when he is fit.

Yeah sometimes I saw them making mistakes. That too huge blunders with their data. But they give good analysis.

You bet. The kid is playing the god, in China and amongst the crowd rooting for the god. Let alone winning the god, to stand there at the court you need steel balls. Hail the kid, respect the kid, appreciate the talent. Even if it's one off thing, one must give all due respect for the kid.

Its clear who is crossing the bar now...condescending not at all.
My post was surely and accurately imputed on the basis of your still unjustified belief of LD not at his best his injury etc etc..moreover LD vs CTC totally showed he was not at all in pain...injury is something in MZ's case..and well in super DAN's case merely an excuse sorry if you disagree or find it harsh..but its true.I respect him even more than LCW but this time you're sadly mistaken if you think the def was because if his knee

If I may add, Lin Dan always put things in perspective, sees the big picture, keeps to the overall strategy and gameplan, minds his health and condition all the way to the Rio Olympics, along the way it's alright to lose a couple of battles but wins the war in the end. That's my understanding of Lin Dan from what I've gathered, I think he won't disagree with me. That explains why he can stay on top of the heap for so long, imho.

Best part of Srikanth's win was he beat LD with his own style. Loved the way he kept his cool in the closing stages, avoiding G3.

I must agree with Justin. The knee injury is still bothering LD. We have watched LD games for many years and we know how normal LD plays. His movement is much slower than usual. I very seldom see LD to clear with his back hand but I see this time and time again throughout this tournament. His elevation is not as high as usual and this explain why his smashes get into net more frequently than usual. There is no injection of pace throughout tonight game.

OOT, just wondering, will the Super Series Finals in Dubai put limit to the number of players from one nation in each discipline, or strictly based on the Top-8 of the SS standings?

Now this time I agree with you..
This is why I never write his name all alone..with due respect I always mention him as Super dan or the maestro or the WC..he absolutely is the best player...and even sachin tendulkar get out at 0 sometimes ...
Nothing to get dismayed we now LD is going to come back with a bang
