Takahashi just came firing. She is just too good for Nehwal today. Nehwal skipped the CWG to prepare for this so don't say that she is not playing a 100% because of her form or whatever to take it away from the Japanese girl.

Not looking good for SN. It's going to be her first loss in round of 16 since 2007. (all other times she was beaten in the QF)

Sayaka T was leading most of the way in G2 but failed to close it out, giving Saina a lifeline.

I think it's down to who can hold their nerves better and make fewer mistakes.

Sayaka would do well to serve low most of the time.

Some tentative play from Sayaka and Saina is in a clear lead, 11-7...

I spoke too soon. Takahashi was too good for Nehwal in game 1 and Nehwal was too good for Takahashi in game 3.

Sayaka came close to winning in two sets but failed to consolidate her chances and instead lost it in three.

It's clearly understood that in yezterday's match, saina was not pushed and it was clearly shown in her first game. Whenever sayaka plays top players, she will play above her potential. Many times we had seen her.

Anyway, nice victory to saina and a good excercise to her body.

Must be a tough battle going on between Wang Zhengming and Wei Nan. Too bad, no livestream available.
