Lately have been playing Mon to Fri. 7pm to 9pm average of 8 sets. And Sat. mornings 10am to 12 noon.

When new courts are opening up in Manila they usually have a promo for 100 php (approx. 2 US$) for play all you can...6am to 12midnight. Here you can eat, play sleep badminton :)

I play twice a week. We play at recreation park and they allowed us to play only twice a week. (7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m) But, if you get a decent games that good enough.

    Cheers!!

I haven't played since Friday and I'm not doing until Thursday! I might get withdrawal symptoms. Someone I play with told me this is good. I've been playing about 4-5 days a week, which is a huge step up from last year (twice a week)

Maybe this break will be good. I might come back revitalised.

Depends on the time of year. Off season right now in the UK so maybe 3 times per week.

When the season starts though could be as many as 5/6 with tournaments and matches.

Nice to rest for a few months and let the aches and pains subside

LazyBuddy, your rare case of squeezing 16 hours of badminton into 2 days is unusual and will get you to the top decile ranking if we do a poll of hours/day !!! :p

Lol... Well, that's not like my choice, as most clubs i have access only fit for my schedule from Fri to Sunday time frame.

But if there's a poll of "improvement per month", I am pretty sure I will rank the dead last... :D

Train twice a week, don't play other times unless it's the school holidays.. even during school holidays I'll play maybe 1-2 times a week, not including training because can't find friends to play with.. some not willing to spend money etc etc. I already supply all the shuttles, can't afford to cover the cost of the courts too.. can't wait to be in morning session, I'll be able to play badminton in the afternoon then.;)

If I really(I mean REALLY!) want to improve, how often should I play? Can anyone please give me a rough guide as to how often I should play? I would appreciate it if you could also tell me what I should do to improve(like what drills I should do or something of that sort).

I will say play as much as possible (in affordable range of timely, finacially and physcially). Also, utlized the time, and train as hard as u can.

It's very hard to just specify a number here, but I will say, typically, 5-10 hrs could be a reasonable start.

Sadly, gr 12 next year, probably have to cut down from 3-4 times a week. I would play any chance i get, i call up my friend and go to his backyard and start driving the bird to each other cuz somehow its never windy in his backyard. He's getting mad though, cuz i keep bothering him and telling him to play every single day. He wants to "study". yea rite....
