*Hong Kong Coliseum | 22-27 November 2016 DRAW was already out yesterday => http://system.bwfbadminton.com/uplo...AW (Updated Tuesday, 01st November 2016).xlsx Almost same cast with CHN Premier in previous week, among the world top 10 only Lin Dan and Viktor Axelsen skip this Superseries. Top-seed and four-time champion Lee Chong Wei have two promising youngsters in his preliminary rounds, Shi Yuqi and Jonatan Christie. Thailand star Ratchanok Intanon will take on Singaporean Liang Xiaoyu at first round, followed by He Bingjiao, Sung Ji Hyun or P.V. Sindhu at last eight while reigning All England Champion Nozomi Okuhara and Nehwal may face off at another quarterfinal clash.
Thanks Clely ... I would buy tickets and watch the final game with my badminton teammates together in Hong Kong! My forecast finals of MS & WS: MS: LCW vs Chen Long WS: Carolina Marin vs Nozomi Okuhara
I read somewhere that LCW is carrying a slight injury. I really hope he comes as this would be likely his last appearance. Massively popular.
This should be a pretty interesting tournament with many new MD pairings. Will be good to see how these new pairings deal with some of the more established pairings.
LCW seems not able to come due to his injury. Suppose Chen Long takes the final game, who will be his opponent?
Hmm LCW wouldn't participate and NO retired in CHN PSS, although I ain't sure of the magnitude of her injury most likely she would give WO, and even if she plays an appearance on court on mega Sunday is a far cry. CM will surely go all out to win this time. The OG champ hasn't won a SS this year, and that's true for CL as well. Although PV looked great this week, I wonder if she can go far here. My bet would be HBJ,back to the podium. Although I wish we are treated to another PVS vs CM finale
I haven't watched CM's matches post Olympics...can anyone explain why she has not been performing well?
She lost long time back not now. she has improved leaps and bounds now. This Sindhu has more variety of shots and extra ordinary fitness.
yes Sindhu has improved but she is still inconsistent...I can't see her reaching 2 SS Semis in a row.
Yeah, every player struggles against one or the other. And nobody can deny that RI has proved herself too strong for PV on many occasions. Sigh.. I still recall Malaysia open. But yep, PV has improved by huge huge margins, as I mentioned in another thread the most significant one is her attitude with herself, she has considerably improved in controlling nerves. With her recent introduction of celebrations after points she always looks +ve to me these days. Plus her stamina is a treat to watch (if China PSS and OG are any signs) which certainly not RI's choice of field. Also, I doubt about RI's performance, as she recently retired. Hope she's fine though. She is a treat to watch and needless to say how pleasant personality she is.
