Playing independently with KKK now. Aiming for last shot for glory. They conceded a walkover to Japanese xd pair last week. Most probably injuries to one of them.
We made a deal with Aus..as they want to be pair with INA SS, they had to put $750 K so by travelling to these 2 SS, it is worth for players...
I saw Mr. Duck's name and mistook his partner as Eom Hye Won. It seems that was Yoo Hae Won who withdrew. Eom Hye Won is still in both tournaments.
Good work to squeeze out more money from the Aussies. Any idea on how much financial wiggle room the tournament organizers have to increase the prize money in general? Badminton will not become a true "professional sport" until all top 50 players can become relatively well off by doing well in tournaments.
DRAW is already out, BWF link : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=633956&dl=1 Top-seed Chen Long is grouped with Kento Momota, Srikanth and Chou Tien Chen while second seed Lin Dan occupies bottom half of draw along with Jorgensen, Wang ZM and Son WH. In WS, Li Xuerui, Marin, Sung JH and Wang YH are drawn at top-half, Wang YH has tough first round opponent, P.V. Sindhu. Defending champion Saina Nehwal has same half with Intanon, Tai TY and Wang SX.
CLELY, Thanks for your prompt and efficient starting threads! Okuhara and Sun Yu are also in Saina's half. Hard battles ahead for the girls.
Finally KS and KM in different quarters.... Looking forward to an exciting SF between them. Decent draw for Saina as well, avoiding WYH and CM. PVS runs into CM in QFs though. JG/AP, HSP can win a round.. Nothing much to expect though. Lets hope they do well in SC and take the confidence Down Under
Really tricky draw for almost all the Indians PVS vs WYH again and that to in R1. One of the good prospects have to packup way to early unfortunately!! KS vs HKV HSP vs THW If both of them somehow wins will face each other!! PK vs WZM As WZM looks improved it will be a cracker of a match..let's see whether experience and discipline of PK can guide him to R2... SN vs SY in R2 (most probably) We still havent forgotten theier last battle...SY stretched the defending champ here all the way in the last encounter and time she'll be looking forward to go one step ahead!! JG/AP strangely got a boon of not playing higher ranked opponent in R1.. Although we'll watch them again tusle against INA#1 NKM/GP AP/PJC kicking off their campaigns from Qualifiers All others are not even worth mentioning
Tough draw for Sindhu. 2nd tournament after her injury layoff. Sindhu vs Yihan should be an interesting fight. What can i say ! KS may run into his compatriot H.S.Prannoy in the second round provided Prannoy beating the inform Tian Houwei. Fingers crossed. Tian has been playing well in the last few tournaments. Even if Prannoy beats Tian, KS will be waiting for him. Unfortunate. Hope saina does well in Australia Open. Nothing much to expect from JG/AP and AD/PC
LOL. Look at WYH's draw. 1st-Sindhu then probably S Takahashi, then Marin, if she can pass all of this she will face LXR in Semi. What a draw!!

I just wondered because he said the exact sentence whatever you said but instead of yihan , he inserted sindhu in it. Either way, both girls have tough draw.
Because I agree with him . Some players usually get the tough draw. LXR in the other hand hardly ever get one. Maybe she is LXR, so she is always the favorite. But I think when LXR runs in to the seeded player, those players are like Tai, Sung which stand a small chance against her.
Most player LXR has a relatively easy time or should be seen as favorite against...Tai, Sung, Nehwal...
