He clearly had tougher opponents to go through. Compared to what Axelsen did

Naraoka clearly tired and spent. Playing much looser than Tai Tzu Ying does, but also with the flair of Lin Dan. Difference is Lin Dan could afford to do those loose/cheeky plays against opponents and recover in the rally to win points.

    Viktor is a beast.
You can bring a player with a rally playing style, or a player with a lightning attack, he will crush them all.
The only one who can defeat him at the moment is himself.

Maybe on paper. But Kanta and Kenta both beat strong players this week. If VA had had Naraoka’s opponents this week, he might as well have demolished them instead. Except for LZJ.

It wasnt even an even match given how tired naraoka must be and the easy draw VA has

Did we not see the same thing when Kento Momota was at his peak?

I am free to give my own opinion.
As free as you say Viktor has an easy path to the finals.

Axelsen is competing with Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei now. If he can win another Olympic gold and the world cup a few more times, he'll be up there.

That's wishful thinking. Getting LZJ at the start already made Naraoka's tourney a whole lot more difficult.

According to the Guinness World Record, he won 11 titles in 2019. Surprising that this was the record considering how much Lee Chong Wei played and won during his active career. Viktor Axelsen has not broken this record yet.

I agree, it did. But you called Kunlavut, Prannoy and Ng Tze Yong "clearly tougher opponents" than Kenta and Kanta after they had just beaten Ginting, Christie and Chou. I disagree (even if VA has had some troubles with Prannoy).

And, as Kim/Anders said when they won China Open: "We only have to beat the players we meet".
