Simply confirms that pre-2014/15 Lin Dan , dubbed Super Dan by Peter Gade, never gives you any easy points. As PG once said, I paraphrased, even when Lin Dan is seemingly out of form , you still don't believe you can beat him until the final point is won, which explains why PG also had this feeling that Lin Dan is a much tougher opponent to beat than Lee CW against whom he sometimes felt he had chances despite the fact that his (PG's) H2H record with LCW is no better than with LD's. Call it inborn talent, creativity, artistry, wizardry, reflex action, the natural instinct, swift reaction time - - all of which he possessed to an exceptional degree, almost uncannily. Not to mention he is not above the occasional showboating. I'm sure you can find several more such and similar amazing examples to prove your or my point.
To understand the magnificence of Lin Dan you have to watch pros under rank 15 or less. These pros are still proper monsters. But when you watch their game you see them rushing around the court. Then comes Lin Dan - he is almost standing there so to say. He looks slow and not making any effort whatsoever. You realise there is a magic going on.
Viciously concuss? You've never seen real fights, have you? with those cloud gloves and the head gear, coupled with those punches, there was no realistic danger of a concussion unless someone had slipped and hit their head... But it was funny to see how one-dimensional their athletic talent appears to be...I assume they didn't receive training in advance, right? Neither looked particularly prepared to actually be hit
But why is Lin Dan doing these things? Is this for fun? Or for the money? Wouldn't he just be in a much better position in the badminton world? Like being a super coach? @Nine Tailed Fox maybe he could coach Momota for some very handsome bucks!
PA? Personal assistant, for what, " he was spotted together with LD in his scandal photos/videos" ? Any photos? When was that? Come to think of it, if not for that wayward distraction, I wonder if Lin Dan might actually grab another gold or at least a silver in Rio'16.
Momo-chan will need to go independent for that, Away from the shackles of PJB and energy sapping NTT east environment. The duo could take badminton to phenomenal formidable, even superhuman level.

My Top 5 Lin Dan specials 5) 2019 Malaysian Open Final against Chen Long Last evolution of Lin Dan. Inspired all the oldies like kwun, cheung, samkool, j4ckie to pick up their racquets again and swing for their sandwiches. A must watch for those who want to enjoy amateur singles badminton but don't have the speed, physique or movement for it. 4) 2014 Asian Games Final vs Chen Long All the talks about how the newly crowned World Champion Chen Long is the best in the world but LD noped the fcuk out of that equation. Brushed aside LCW and CL back to back. 3) 2012 Olympics Final Chong Wei had developed a major speed advantage over him at that point but Lin Dan marshalled the equilibrium by developing a far heavier artillery than Chong Wei. I swear that 2012 Lin Dan would curb stomp today's competition just alone by using his big grenades forgetting every other advantage. 2) 2008 Beijing Olympics Final That speed can't be matched by any mortal between the four lines. 1) 2010 Thomas Cup Finals held in Malaysia This match proved me why he is The GOAT. Lee Chong Wei was undefeated at that point of the year, riding the momentum of his All England Win, and having the home advantage with home fans shouting BOLEH at every breath. But Lin Dan killed him. Talk about crushing the Lion in his den. Nothing left to prove at that point. Everything else he achieved was gravy from that point onwards.
