I forgot the "mens". Top 10 mens badminton player, lol. Michelle Li is perhaps the most successful Canadian badminton player in history.
I felt the same. Shuttle speed, Slow hall everything combined together. That's why Defensive players could not cope up with Attacking. Momota looked amateur in his defense today. He could not even react to some of the shots which usually there would not be problem for him. Strange. They did not check the shuttle speed before!.
Not even close or in the same conversation. Taufik, Gade, LCW, LD, maybe CL as well are far and away above any MS players right now.
I wouldn't say that Yes, Lee Chong Wei didn't win gold, but he was top 4 player for more than a decade. He had just won Malaysia Open when he had to retire. There's more to badminton than just winning a big title. For me, if you want to be a legend, then you have to be a relevant player for a very long time. They are both still young, and hopefully have many more good years in them
Wow, you forgot to read Ginting was there too in that post. And what an argument, mental weakness will now settle the debate. And what about Viktor meltdown against Momota ? So longevity, major medals not necessary ?
Damn momota really lost ???? I hope no one gonna mention him and lin dan in the same sentence again then... LD destroyed all of his opponent in beijing while momota can't even get past the group stage at his home soil smh Not even LCW had this kind of meltdown
Easy, easy, don't need to pounce on him. He hasn't retired yet. Lin Dan didn't have life threatening accident one year before 2008 OG.
As I said, more upsets in r16 and qtr final. Delicious. No excuses. A good player must adapt to the environment. Get the strategy right. No attack, no win. Simple as that
Life threatening? Was it that bad? No articles I read said he was anywhere close to critical condition, but maybe I missed something. People are apparently saying he is injured though? Not sure if there is an official source on any injury.
January 2020, when the accident happened in Malaysia. The car driver died. He was sitting behind him so yeah life threatening.
Accident that was significant with no life threatening injuries. The relevant point being, a life threatening injury could permanently hinder physical performance. Can't say the same for a near death scare of a driver in front of you dying.
Life threatening accident is appropriate terminology ; the guy only a few metres away from him in the vehicle died. That’s definitely a scenario for post traumatic stress disorder.
The gag is, it's just two points away for Brian Yang to reach QF, and we'll have two unseeded player ahead of the seeded players. Man, would've been really funny.
