Chen Long said post-match that despite having trained in the hall before, the drift was different today and he took quite a while to adapt, at the same time he was more error-prone, so much so he had no idea how he won the match. I think it a bit strange coming from such a mature and experienced player, to me, it's more like his form is not stable, sometimes good, sometimes not so. The way I see it, he is certainly not as solid as he once was when in spite of playing more or less a simple, straightforward game, his attack, defense and counterattack were at a somewhat higher level, in my opinion. A definite sign of decline ? Probably. Even Son Wan Ho hasn't been that steady and consistent of late.
Well then PBSI should give ultimatum for this pair.. if they didnt show any improvements, they would be kicked out of the squad for good. Time to bring in the new players to replace them. While other players really work their asses off to go further in the tournament, this pair always lost at an early stage. And yet they got the same treatment like the rest.. Flights, accomodation etc all paid. They enjoy the same business class flights, stay in the same hotel and fed the same food as the rest of team. This is just not right.
No. They always fly in economy class. But PBSI upgraded their players' flight to business class when flying from Japan to China yesterday. Look at their wide smile
Oh, I thought every national team players would get government funding and full tournament expenses would be covered, no?
That was just another government expense paid flight lah..not by their own money.. Note keyword "dikasih" which means "free"! Of course, they dont fly on business class in every tournaments like this.. but, still every players got to pay off all facilities given with their achievements. We dont pay you to join any tournaments only to lose at an early stage so that you can go on a sight seeing tour of the city.
Oh okay. I assumed it was PBSI since Fajar Alfianto in his instastory said thanks to PBSI. Thanks for the clarification.
By the way, i bet Kevin is among the personnel of this crazy rich "ciumbrella" (refers to Cipayung, an area where the national training center is located)
I don't know why this misconception still exists. You certainly do not understand how PBSI runs. The only time they get government funding (from APBN) is when they're going to multievent such as Olympics or Asian Games or SEA Games. Most of the expenses are covered from the fund by PBSI's sponsors.
Well, I still find it so ridiculous for PBSI to retain those players who keep failing to get through first round of any tournaments regardless of where the fund is coming from tho.
He sure is. Kevin is one of very few Indonesian athletes who has huge circles of rich and famous friends.
The problem for them now is that once you've experienced business class it's difficult to go back to economy
Those accusations are not correct... it happened that half of them got upgraded by China Southern... PBSI never buys any business class tiket.... those winning major events like AE or WC, their club upgraded them to business class....
PBSI has to send Angga Ricky for a while to avoid the fine, but recently we are being told as long as those names are registered in md or xd with others are fine.. thats why at French/ Denmark, we pair owi/Angga which may not qualify to the main draw...
When there is Summer Olympics in the year, there is no Thomas/Uber Cups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
