You just need to pull the turntable off, put the bearing and a washer around the axle, then drop it back on. I can take a pic if it's not clear.
I've ordered 1 and I'll try and put it on when it arrives thanks, if I haven't managed it then I'll ask you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
https://www.badmintonalley.com/YONEX_Stringing_Tool_Kit_p/tools-yonex-stringing-kit.htm Can someone explain to me what a 'non-slip cylinder' is?
It's the cylinder you see in the left of the picture To elaborate, it's for doing "field repairs" without a machine. You wrap the string around it and turn it to put some tension on the string. Personally I've never used one so can't say how effective this would be, but I'm guessing you'd have to have some experience to know how much tension you were adding.
Hi guys, has anyone got experience with these Pro's Pro 6 tooth flying clamp? https://www.wdstrings.com/pros-pro-badminton-flying-clamp/ They look fairly similar to the Hi-Qua/MBS ones but just don't know if it's the same for quality. Cheers in advance
Personally I'm not a fan. I had these and within 3 months one broke on me - Pro's Pro refused to replace it saying it was normal wear and tear. They do some smaller red ones that are supposed to quite good, but I don't have personal experience of those ones. I would say just get the Yonex ones if you can afford them, as those are excellent.
Thank you for your input. I have 2 of their smaller red ones and they are excellent so far, but for the crosses they are just a tad to small and pull and bend the strings slightly (I've heard that it affects the tension of the string) so I'm just looking for bigger ones to clamp my crosses. Yonex ones are 5 tooth just the same as the smaller red ones I think
The gap on the blue ones is smaller than the reds/Yonex, so they are even worse for crosses from what I can remember. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Ive just bought a 2mm flatbed screwdriver for turning grommets. Much better now theres no risk of scratching the paintwork on the top half of the frame. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
i've bought the clamp you've advertised a while ago on aliexpress but unfortunately, these clamps do not fit on my clamp bases (i think standard pro's pro clamp base are 12mm wide when these new clamps are 12.2mm wide) Do you know where can i get good clamp bases in europe which fit these clamps please? Thank you.
Which version have you actually ordered? The seller on Aliexpress sells both versions, but apparently, the clamp posts of the 12 mm versions come out too thick sometimes. See http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/looking-for-new-fixed-clamps.172133/ Easiest and cheapest solution would be to look for a shop that deals with metal products and ask if they can use a lathe to make the clamps fit to your bases. Take one of the bases with you there to make sure they fit in the end. Will cost you only a couple of bucks. If you still prefer to order matching bases (but make sure that you really have the proper 12.2 mm versions in hand!), then I think the same seller also offers these great semi-automatic bases: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/Badm...id=91ce0a2f-f9ee-4814-9873-890ff6c8b0d8&tpp=1 Although I'm not sure if the do fit on a PP turntable without any modification.
I haven't checked the dimension of the clamp before ordering I thought that it was standard I've ordered the proper clamp base on your link, it's said that it fits on pro's pro machine Hope it's true The groove dimension and the guide thickness seems to match with it tho Thank you for your help
So you haven't checked the diameter before ordering the clamps and now haven't done it again before ordering the bases? Wow, that's.... brave...
The diameter of the base are ok I've checked it For the clamp I've measured mine at 12mm before ordering but I didn't know that 0.2mm could make the difference Shame on me...
On well... mistakes do happen. In that case at least the new bases should fit the clamps. And I'm pretty sure you will highly enjoy the base upgrade - I haven them on my machine as well and they are superb.
That's what I thought There's a long time I wanted to change these clamp base It gave me the excuse to do so
I tested a King TTC FC-125, bought on Aliexpress for ~15$ and I to-tal-ly agree with this very good advice! The cutting ability is amazing: it is totally worth for money. There is no comparison with my AEF plier. It is now another pretext to string! Thank you Nicholas for this good discovery and for having shared it here!
