You're worse than Ko, you are - he had FIVE HX800 at the All England... then went straight back to old bluey.
I'm more fair. I only have 1 before going back. either way I broke out one of the SW37s. I find it so much better than the HX800. It might be due to the balance but more and more I think it might actually play a tad stiffer.
Argh! Those loose grommets on the JS10 are turning out to be a little bit of a pain... My stringer accidentally stripped a bit of the string directly on the frame when the grommet came out as he was passing the string through...
you guys are complaing about the rackets you test...Think how many emails I receive asking me to comment about reviews I wrote in the past. Most of the time I can't remember the feel of a racket from three months ago, never mind three years. I'm sure there will be more new frames to celebrate or lament on missed opportunities from Victor in the not-to-distant future. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I'm not gonna lie, I was halfway decided on selling mine after the first (three) attempts at stringing. Post-sale stringing was ok so it just needs to settle a bit i think.
Might be one of very few rackets that a 2.8 shared grommet will fit into - I'll have to check next time I do one of mine.
Not sure why you guys are having problems, the ones I got are fine. Regarding grommet size, 2.7mm fits perfectly.
I've had a bunch of rackets to test recently. Already done two Ashaway, one APACS, I'm just finishing a Li-Ning and have two Yonex. However I'll hav JS10 done next week. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
With your pro-forma review template Paul it should take all of 10 minutes to write and publish a review. Pull ya finger out lad!
Well, here is my weight check as promised : 1) JS 10 KRP 3U strung (with an additional string on the top in case of mishits): A) Total : 88,4 grams B) Head : 39,5 grams 2) Li-Ning UC 9.000 strung (with an additional string on the top in case of mishits): A) Total : 90,4 grams B) Head : 40,1 grams Edit : String is Ashaway ZM 62 fire. Sorry for the delay, couldn't make it earlier ! Regards, Joachim.
Tks! What strings you have on? And how did you squeeze in another string up top... there's no space left!
In that case, subtract 3.0g total wt, and 2.6g head wt to correct to bare wt. Equals 85.4g, 36.9g respectively. Seems in line with a 3U JS10.
Hmmm 39.5g. Not very substantial..my 12 KRPs and the Bao all pull in similar figures.. At least it does prove that it deserves the 3/5 balance designation.
Yes, but don't forget this JS10 is a compact frame... so you can't directly compare specs to other regular iso rackets.
Yeah but as a matter of paper specs at least ot isn't wrong. It is simply that fact that the head is compact that it had the extra feel of being head heavy.
