Strung them on 26-27 pounds; the Vigor is on FP80 while the Tornado800 and Warriors7 are on FP66. Yes, FP (flypower). The FP80 has a hard feeling while the 66 has a soft feeling (the FP65 is in between-I think). Agree with bro aramistuscany!! The Tornado800 is the hardest to play with but generates the most power between these three. The Warriors7 is more into fast-drive doubles sort of games; while the Vigor can generate more power than the Warriors7 and still pretty easy to play with. I should say you can tell the rackets by the person it designed for - Hendra is more sort of laid back-smart-efficient game; while (Markis) Kido is more towards muscle and power. I did not string the Enigma since I only get VERY limited number Yoppy: what do you think of the Vigor? Better than the Warriors?
It is out in the relevant thread now . Waiting for your review of your new weapon in comparison with the Tornado 800 .
Have not tried it yet koh, still unstrung . Still enjoying the Warrior 8 a lot, the Vigor will be sitting on my collection ATM, its too good looking
One thing i noticed, the Vigor has smaller woven pattern than Warrior 8. That means its better and last longer.
IMHO, i think flypower rackets are not up to the world class standard of markis kido n hendra setiawan. The rackets quality still have long time to catch up with yonex, victor.
Cosmectics-wise and overall appearance they are not as refined as the more establised brands. This is very minor and not glaringly obvious. In terms of playability and the feel of the racquet, they are up there in the mix with the top brands. A remarkable achievement for a company with such a short history. If the racquets doesn't play well, I would question the ability and the skill of the player.
I will have agree with you once more. I've seen a lot of improvements on their finishing quality especially after they 're-logo' themself. The build quality itself has not been an issue for me (not sure with the bottom end ones tho).
The warrior series are quite disappointing in my view, in terms of playability it is still so lacking. Vibrations are common n the frame seems not sturdy enough for high tension stringing. But, i am not sure about the new rackets used by kido n hendra though. Hopefully, there is an improvement
I never get any vibration issues on any of the Tornado and Warriors series to tell you the truth. And I've personally tried them strung 24 up to 30 just to test, I normally put 27-28 on my rackets.
Read last sentense of post #73 I was fortunate to test Warrior 8 againts YY Voltic 70 side by side, and in terms of vibration Warrior 8 came up on top, no doubt about that. Note: both racket strung at 28lbs with BG65Ti
Heard from reliable sources that there is a new racquet developed for an Indonesian player. Will update when I have more info.
