first of all, congratulations to LCW for his first of many BIG titles and 3 SS titles in a row.
if I were LCW i will certainly skip the forthcoming SO and have a well earned rest. what's the point to chase another SS title thus give the others a chance for revenge? I'm sure Tago could like to have another go as soon as the second round, not to mention that LD is in the other half if he decided to make an appearance.

Lin Dan is still in the Swiss Open, but LCW is no longer in the fray. If Tago progresses, he would meet Du Pengyu in the second round ;) Tago will probably find it tough to keep up the momentum but if he can, I would be happy. :)
    And LCW's rest is well-deserved :)

    if i were LCW:
I would get more R&R time and focus on 2 other big events for this yr: WC and AG. No need for me to really prepare for the Thomas Cup as most likely the M'sian Thomas Cup team will be bundled out anyway and not win the cup (unless the coaching staff allows me to play Men's Doubles).
Then for the Indonesian Open SS and S'pore Open SS, i would just show up and get bundled out in the 1st or 2nd round. No need to break a sweat as i've already won those titles before.
After that, I would go back to KL and then prepare for the 2010 World Championships because that is the next target and i would expect a real pissed off Lin Dan and crew to show up. With me having the AE title stuck in the back pocket, the bullseye target on the back of my t-shirt is even bigger and if i don't want to get embarrassed again, then i would prepare myself even better.
After that, i'd show up for the Denmark Open SS, both China Open SS, HK Open SS, Japan Open SS & French Open SS and get bundled out in the 1st or 2nd Rd.
After those SS, then i would focus on the Asian Games which will be held at the end of the year. Again, my biggest rival Lin Dan will probably show up with his escorts of BCL, CJ and CL.
If i can win the WC and AG this yr, then all i have to focus on next is the elusive 2012 Olympics Gold medal. For that, i'll have nearly 2 full yrs to prepare.

Alan forgot to take into account that after LCW comes back to Msia, have to entertain the Prime Minister, Sports Minister, all sorts of big shots. That will go on at least 2 weeks, no rest ya know.
Then (like after OG 2008), Misbun & LCW will plead for everyone to stop the invitations, have to prepare for TC 2010. After that, rest a couple of days, then training.;);)

If participate in Swiss, less time to recover from the ehem... obligatory functions

If I am LCW, I will continue to play to entertain my fans and crush KT so that no one will doubt me. ;) The, I will crush Lindan to make him reach the lowest morale. ;)

He got easy games so far except for qtr finals.

Can avoid those politics mumbo jumbo. ;)

LCW for prime minister of malaysia. Anyone second this? ;)

Purposely losing in the first or second round is very unhealthy for the sport, talking about match fixing, although it is different, but it is still the same. (Damn, I don't know how to explain this contradictory statement of mine)

    You make my day LOL.

LCW is too exciting and still couldn't believe his win. "Maybe I win the all-england", during his post game interview. Perhaps he didn't get the chance to play LD so he is not sure if that was really the final??? :D

    J/K:p

    my point was..

..he shouldn't put too much focus on those SS (as he's won some of those already); if he wins those, it's fine; if he loses those, that's fine also. It's not match fixing.
IMO, he should focus more on the remaining major titles (WC, OG and maybe AG) & secure those from here on out and probably win a few more SS he hasn't won. I'm sure the 2012 OG is his biggest target and 2+ yrs is still quite a ways. Thus he has to manage his body and reduce any unnecessary injury by over-exerting himself in so many tourneys (do you know he has a lingering leg injury??).
