OMG!! If you think the Z-Slash is ugly, those outfit are hideous. Why bother with the sleeve on the non-racket hand? Designers watched too much startrek?

Looks like, the half shirt or half singlet is designed for righty only. Do they have one for the lefty? Buy left and right and you will get two sleeves.

    Wanna stay on topic :rolleyes::rolleyes:??

Please keep this thread to the ARCZ only....move your discussion on their new clothing to the thread given by ctjcad....

And according to the link, you can pick which side has a sleeve and which doesn't...

Well, you can always flip the shirts inside out if you got the wrong side. :p

Actually, I think the shirts do match the ArcZ in that they are both asymmetrical design. :D

Yup agreed. The marketing guys in Yonex dept probably think they are thinking outside the box by being artsy.
But it still depends on the taste of the consumers/public.

Anyway, Arz Z-slash is a good racquet, like Aramistuscany pointed out, the handle was shorter and the shaft is pretty long. Think AT700 vs AT900P. I think this tilt the racquet on the head heavy side.

Balance is definitely head heavy. It also has a top frame grommet structure similar to Nanospeed 9000X/S. 4X pass per side.

I rated Arc-Z slash extra stiff. Racquet is definitely aerodynamic.

Cons: probably majority of people don't fancy the color.
Pros: seems to incorporated the best design of all the Yonex series.

    I just got a Arc Z slash, 3UG4 with thin overgrip and BG66 @ 26lbs.

Wow ! The power is good ! The strange thing is that the bp is 285mm whereas for my Arc10 the bp is 295mm and yet when you swing the Z slash, it feels head heavy.

I need to test it more as I only use it briefly but quite alot of my shots went out of court.

Yay! Dinkie gets to test some more Evil Empire rackets. Dinkie misses all those late night racket testing sessions at SGVBC with a bunch of onlookers wondering what the heck Guava and Panda are doing. :p

Tried out my new ArcZ last night..3UG3 with BG80 at 26/28#s....still prefers my Armortec 900 Power. Tried the Arc10 2 times before the Arm900P. Will give the ArcZ a few more hits b4 sticking to the Arm900P.

    Easy Tiger,
10% quicker than Arc10...do you know or have you compared (also) with the tech specs of NS9900 (5%? 2%?). Tks vm.

cool review ants.. sounds like a pretty killer racket :D

I was wondering if you ever tried to standardize your tests (for example, use the same grip, strings, tension etc.) to make comparisons to other rackets easier?

not trying to bash your method of reviewing, but just curious :p

:)Just tried my Arc ZS, 3UG4 with thin yellow overgrip and BG85 @ 26 lbs... (4 hours of playing)

You're right, the power is there... Better than Arc 10... you're right too, it feels head heavy, compare to Arc 10... for me, maybe, it's the reason that's why Arc ZS has more power than Arc 10...

Arc 10 is better in terms of control and placement of the shuttle (it's only on my experience after playing with Arc ZS)...

Maybe I need to give it another chance (Arc ZS), before going back to my Arc 10...

Can you measure the bp of your Z slash and Arc10 ? I want to know if it is the same as mine, as in the Arc10 bp is greater than the Z slash.

Its ok to bash my method of reviewing. :) I need improvement as well. So far ive used same grip and tension. Only difference is strings at times. However im trying to do my best in the reviews. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

For all the folks there.. a video will be coming up if you want to see the some behind the scene process of the test.. i mean the Yonex Speed test that you see in the Yonex Website. and some of you may be able to see the Prototype ArcZ in its purest color!

I will post it up as soon as i can upload the stuffs.

    Ants,

Thanks for the review, again. Well, I got my 2uG4 Arc ZS strung with BG66 at 28/30...and it does pack a dynamite compared to NS9900. Though, NS9900 is faster IMO. Absolutely no regrets here. Now my NS9900 has to abdicate to Arc ZS as my numerro uno!

You know what, I always believe that one's gotta bring in their own power however, the Arc ZS does adds "some" more...

Everythings else that was on your review was and "is right on the money". Bravo!

The actual racket's cosmetics (compared to pics posted) isn't so bad at all!
    More power to you.

    MetalOrange

P.S. Will you be reviewing the Cab 35?

Thanks. "Right on the Money" is probably too much. Some may disagree. Anyway Thanks for the feedback and glad that it helped some of you.

    Ants,

I guess more than most people agree with your reviews, i've been lurking long enough (though i am just a recent forumer at badmintoncentral) so at least i for onw agrees.

...well, what can you do, there will be those who hang to the far right or to the far left, but that's life.

Hmmm, i am eagerly awaiting to see those prototype Arc Z pics? One query though, what if most forumers (actual users of ArcZ who loves it) prefer the other colour scheme? Would Yonex put up an alternative colour to the release/official colour?

Will it ever happen that users opinion tilt Yonex's equilibrium to, give in to the desires of ArcZ fans? Wishful thinking u think?

    Kind regards,
    MetalOrange
