Damn.... That's so sad Taufik can't take part of a tpurnament because of a Visa issue... On this side, we're miles away from Tennis means... Hey Ctjcad do you enjoy being there ? Give us some more inside news !
any live streaming of current matches? any links? i did some google searches and only got bwin or some bet365 betting sites. not sure about those.
Thomsen must be out of gas. He expended a lot of energy at the Canadian Open last week. I reckon fatigue has caught up with him
Is there a numerous crowd in the arena ? I wonder how popular badminton is in USA compared to France ??
I am watching Bet365. The streaming is ok. They are showing PI's match against KO. Pi leading by one set.
For USA Badminton which wants to have a SS in the near future... they have a lot of work cut out for them. They are 2hrs behind shedule and yet there is no one on court 3 for quite some time. Also, the TS needs to be better taken care of.
comparing US Open with the Canada Open from last week, the Canada Open was so much better than this in every respect. the competition, the big names, scheduling, and most of all, FREE, AVAILABLE LIVE-STREAMING TO EVERYONE. CAN put USA to shame.
Nothing to be ashamed of. According BWF M&Q list, big names from Indonesia were supposed to show up but all of their visa were denied by the Jakarta Embassy; Markis Kido, Hendra Setiawan, Vita Marissa, Lita Nurlita, Flandy Limpele, Hendra Gunawan, Alvent Julianto Candra, Hendra Aprida Gunawan; Taufik Hidayat actually made it to Canada and supposed to show up in US too; however, due to visa problem, they all got cancelled. Tine Rasmussen also pulled out just before the draws, perhaps not fully recovered from her injury. Not sure what's going on with life streaming, I know it is available in some countries. Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork; and Robert Matusiak and Nadiezda Zieba are present. Looks like scheduling is better on Wednesday.
And about live streaming that haven't any obligation you know, maybe the sell TV rights so they can't put any live video streaming, and anyway I bet you can follow TS's live score, which wasn't available last week for Canada open, THAT is a shame....
..yes, a lot of the matches for Round 1 (Tuesday) were delayed by at least 2 hrs. Partly because of the number of available courts, partly because there were so many matches which gone to rubber games. It is truly a first time challenge to the organizer and match control personnel. Yes, the scoreboard at the stadium didn't get lit up til 1.5 hrs later (@ 10:30am) after the scheduled start (@ 9am).. ..they should have the direct live score now.. ..yes, it was quite a long day...very long.. ..the truly die hard baddy fans in SoCal are very limited (we can tell by those who stayed til the end of the last match last night) in comparison to say Northern California or even in Vancouver, Canada..Most of the people you guys saw on the livestream are players, coaches, relatives of players..Hopefully the turn out will be better in the last 3 days.. Yes, for once a yr event, it's not too bad! Glad to enjoy the few France supporters cheering Brice by yelling "Allez, Brice, Allez!!".. ..not only him, but also a few other players..can tell by their haggard, less energetic body language..Palyama is one of them also.. ..from what i gathered, the tournament director is planning to have a free webstream for next yr (like this yr's Canada Open). He is only having the webstream through a third party host (bet35) for this yr as a test run for next yr..I don't know if the same company who provided the livestream for last yr's Finals Rd. will be here again or not..
..at the very least, the loud cheer kept me awake late last night..it was one of the best matches of the night/day..
All the courts were in use at all time, including court 3. Matches were being put on as fast as the courts were available.
