    Re: hey!

    OK, I'll explain very carefully.

Look on the left column which has your user name.
Underneath that, there are some numbers - some of these represent the date of your post.
Look at the postings bove yours and look at the numbers - they have dates earlier than yours.
Go back to the 1st posting which was Byro-n...he was the thread starter a couple of years ago.
Look carefully at the order of dates and you will see that they are arranged carefully according to the date posted, most recent post being last on the list. (This is done automaticaly by the software)
Your thread got merged by a moderator with the old one since the meaning of the thread was exactly the same.
So perhaps by linking up these facts, you can see why you are not the threadstarter - Byro-N got there first!! Bad luck..

Matt, I thought I was being clear about things. Just making sure there was no ambiguity in the explanation....:)

    My current favorites...
MS: Any of top Chinese MS (probably either Xia XZ or Chen Hong right now)
    WS: Zhou Mi
MD: No distinct favorite but like top 2 Malaysian pairs
    WD: Gao/Huang
    XD: Zhang/Gao

The one that changes the most for me is MS. Ie. When XXZ won Japan Open this year, I started cheering for him. Back when CH won string of tourneys last year, i cheered for him. Still waiting for Lin Dan and Bao CL to impress (although Lin also did well at JP Open).

MD - Park Joo Bong & Kim Moon Soo; Chandra Wijaya & Sigit Budiarto
    WS - Ye Zhao Ying
    WD - no idea
    MD - no idea

Zhao Jian Hua during his heyday is THE man.
Foo Kok Keong is one tireless workhorse, one of the few with a very formidable defence.
The Koreans have no peer in their era; they only play attack, almost no defence :)
The Indonesians play almost the same kind of badminton but not as dangerous, but all in all, I prefer them to the Ricky & Rexy team. Sigit's jump smashes, one that I saw during one particular All-England Open (or was it S'pore Open?), was the highest I've ever seen, almost like Zhao.

gao ling.....in fact, she's the first professional badm player i ever knew of and has remained my favourite player until today

her technique at the net is amazing.....i also love the fact that she can always keep a smile on her face and always seem so happy and cheerful, even when she's losing...not many people can actually do that...
