my all-time favorite badminton player (my childhood badminton idol): Haryanto Arbi (smashing like crazy!!!). i used to (maybe still do) idolize Taufik Hidayat (god of backhand/hercules, in his golden year & a good mood: god of badminton/zeus). hahaha... Ricky Subagja/Rexy Mainaky would be the greatest men's double ever for me. other names worthy to be mentioned will be Rudy Hartono & Liem Swee King (legends - only heard stories from my dad), Park Jo Bong (thunderous smash, doubles partner: Kim Dong Moon), Ardi B. Wiranata (arguebly greatest rally player). i just love past generations of Indonesian men's doubles (sorry for the bias). quick&powerful + superb defense + entertaining (out-of-mind-shots) = dominance. finally if i mention Taufik, i have to mention Lin Dan. they're like Neo & Mr. Smith. u can guess which is which in my biased opinion. but in reality they switch roles every now and again. LOL

Rei Sato and Koharu Yonemoto are my two favourite players now. Rei is competing at the Japan Open.. Good luck on him, his first opponents are Keita Masuda and Tadashi Ohtsuka.. They recently participated at the Ashaway Northshore City International Tournament held in Auckland, NewZealand.. they couldn't speak any English, so I volunteered to translate Japanese to English for them. Became pretty good friends, so now I must support them!! :O
