    wow, i had no idea that feathers could hold out for over 80 years... isn't htere some kind of breakdown of material during that time?

    I think the half-life of feather is longer than 80 years, :D , j/k not really sure. But if you keep it in good enough condition with some hydration, it could last.

    You'd have to use the wooden bats.
    That shuttlecock is for battledore. A much simpler game.

    I had a rather quaint school which had Battledore bats which we used to play with.

    The school only had 24 pupils max. spanning across the ages of 7 to 13.

    The head mistress was already in her 70's teaching for the love of profession.
    There was lots of old stuff around.
    Another quaintness of the school was that it introduced me to the stories of Beowoulf.

    Interesting, eh;)

    But if you ask me about chinese legends.....hmm, sorry!:(
