And yet Jan O is posing with a ZF-II :p ... (but maybe it was taken some time ago or to hide this VT70 for the time being; didn't see anything from the practice sessions yet)

Hmm... truly the first of its kind. Leave it to Yonex to come up with new grommet technology! I believe they came up with the muscle power frame as well.

Except that it's not nor is it "groundbreaking" as they claim ;). As already mentioned: RSL already had it several years ago ...

I suppose this is more elegant than me adding athletes tape on the frame...

I'd say athletes tape is much more convenient than this system, because I don't have to remove the strings to change the weights... ;)

There was also the Adidas Switch Pro which also had the advantage of being able to adjust the weight without removing the strings.

    Here's my assumption regarding VT70ET,

    1. WITHOUT the attached special grommets, the BP will most likely to be on par with Arcsaber series... or maybe Nanoray, and the weight would be 4U version?

    2. Once the special grommets ALL are attached and strung, the BP is partially higher than VTZF and as well the weight could possibly increase to be 2U weight

    3. Shaft will still as flexy as old VT70 then...

    4. If RRP is higher than old VT70 and would only be available in 3U weight, then... i guess old VT70 4U + a lead tape or victor powerizer would still triumph in term of performance.

Anyone seen the racket in real? Like is there 3U or 4U available such as the original VT70?

Interesting! So depends on the accessories, customer will have different kind of repulsion/control. Wondering how can Yonex achieve that.

And I feel it would be a scramble for us to spot whoever is sponsored using them; what grommets they use, and top/bottom/all. LOL.

    This should be *ahem* interesting.

The idea of making the "lead tape" to be colorful and sold separately is great! Does anyone have the chart to where this VT70ET belong to (without any lead tape attached).?

Do you need a VT70ET to use the grommets or can it also be used on the normal VT70?

Yonex aside, common sense would dictate that any company would ensure little to no legacy support for older models.. if you know what I mean. I assume that the ridges or whatever its called would not fit.

Besides, where are you gonna find the orange grommets for sale?

Voltric 70 E-Tune microsite goes live.

    http://www.yonex.com/e-tune/

Youtube promo video goes up as well.

But they seem to give you an idea that those using ZForceII's are going to switch over to VT70ETN... (definitely not for LCW, as for Fuchs, I don't think so as well)

The Adcocks however, are switching, based off Gabby's twitter. Really short time for the ZF2's they used...
