Unfortunate that Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu are on the same side of the draw and meet so early in Home SS. Link: https://www.sportskeeda.com/badmint...the-blockbuster-india-open-2017-quarter-final TV Schedule:
It's normal and to be expected for the press to play up such rivalries and face-offs , and in sensationalising generates excitement ad publicity to boost readership and as well as viewership for the organiser and the sponsors (who'd be secretly pleased by it). Most professional sports do that as a matter of fact, doesn't mean there's any real enmity between the contestants though once in a blue moon it becomes too personal, as in boxing. But as we know, it'll only work and naturally so when the two rivals are really vying consistently for the top spot, as i the case of Lin - Lee; otherwise it's in vain, just a peep that's quickly forgotten.
WONDER IS NOZOMI FULLY FIT TO PLAY AGAINST AKANE ... SINDHU VS SAINA WILL BE THE BLOCKBUSTER TODAY ... MAY THE BEST PLAYER WIN
Sadly, serves no purpose bringing that up; to me, those 8 WD players were more victims than perpetrators of a loophole in the system that forced them to play the long game. And we've learnt and moved on from there.
Once again I'm astonished by the sheer quality of the BWF YouTube stream and their mission to promote Badminton around the globe!
Play very fast, take the shuttle as early as possible, either drive flat across or soft touch over the net, lifting only when forced to, characteristics of the MAS MD's game, it seems to me.
