A disguised net drop fooled TU, CL 5-4, but TU won back a point with an unforced net error from CL. Unfortunately TU followed CL's example at the net and trailed 4-7. A cross court smash from CL 8-4, before TU got back a point 5-8.
Hoping that also would be a nice encounter, too bad there is no live-streaming of that match from BWF..
Chen Long should realize that most of his opponents most of the time are reluctant and wary of lifting the shuttle to him if they can help it, so he should expect net returns 80/90% of the time and be prepared for it.
Not too good for TU as he made more errors, the last smashing into the net before the interval. CL leads 11-7.
GC also noticed Chen Long using his left leg rather than his right to get back into base position in one instance.
Yet another backhand smash from TU levelled the score to 12-all. CL is receiving treatment to his racket hand little finger. Could this be an ominous sign?
