Yeah, three consecutive Superseries finals , two back-to-back and winning one of them, for Akane is extraordinary, the accumulated fatigue must somehow takes a toll on her today.
Can't remember the last time SWH made these many errors. He has always been as my mother says "man in boundaries"
I think SWH at age 29 is also beginning to feel the strain of playing non-stop, not as sharp as I expect him to be in this match. Yesterday he lost G1 badly to Tommy too. However, I've to admit LCW is playing like..well, LCW as we know him.
SWH has lost a lot of matches he could win had he been man in boundaries, but he doesn't know how to attack.
SWH does not seem fully fit. Trying to avoid putting too much pressure on his left leg when lunging forward Gillian noticed
TBH I was surprised to see her retrieving with the same intensity she does. Physically she was still fine. I believe it was way too much to handle, the emotional and mental fatigue. The legs were willing but was the mind aware of that, I am not sure. Its like she was reaching to net at perfect time but was soo distracted that she almost never established her "range". Consciously you know you have been through a lot lately and makes a mental image of tiredness and fails to push yourself to your limit. For Akane fortunately this happened late than most people hence she enjoyed the consecutive finales. She's still a concrete fav for SSF
This is a temporary lead I feel. LCW is confident he can win this match and will try to close it in two
Actually he could've won those match hadn't he been the man in boundaries. He often plays too safe for "victory's taste". He doesn't make error and that's enough for most players, certainly not enough for everybody hence he fails to win the titles. LCW of course is one such player. And today he isn't even playing to his strengths and making errors. No way
