But he has to beat his rivals more consistently to maintain a clear psychological advantage, dent their confidence and sap their inner belief, as what Lin Dan does to all his opponents.

Will he be the new #1 if he wins in the superseries finals?

I just saw the young athlete from Hong Kong who won the mixed event in nanjing Olympics. Good to see her.

I'm so disappointed. His will-to-win is not strong enough. He really needs a smart, thinking coach like Sun Jun to guide and train him until he's able to read his opponent's game capably by himself.

I think he should first be split from his girl friend. :p
She is taking all the aggression out of him.

Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. Among the three giants, he is the easiest to beat on certain days.

if CL failed to win even 1 match in Dubai, how many points he can get ?
    6,050 points ?
if yes, then he only needs to participate to become the world #1

WSX is the more outgoing, independent-minded, assertive character, and smarter too on court, except for the lack of a decent smash. Chen Long should learn from his girlfriend how to play smart and think ahead, and in return teach her how to smash hard with good timing. I supposed, opposites attract.

@ opruh : yes, assuming LCW not participate in Dubai, CL only need to finish 3rd in group for world #1 status

    Nah!
They are both largely the same personality, yes WSX is slightly smarter and Chen long is capable of smashing, but, both are soft, gentle personalities, without that killer instinct of players like lin dan or Li xuerui. Rather on court both are almost always scrambling, with none liking to take initiative.
