First Sport has been talked about on this thread and many others as a shop behind the National Stadium that sells genuine Yonex rackets I will vouch that First Sport behind the National Stadium sells genuine Yonex rackets. A friend just brought back an AT-800 DE for me and an MP-99 and an NS-8000 for himself from Bangkok last month. All prices similar or lower than talked about on BF. However if you're more comfortable shopping at the YY shop, it's your call. For me the logic is why pay (appreciably) more than necessary.
I think I've already mentioned this in a few threads, but once again: if you want to be 110 % sure that you're buying genuine stuff in Bangkok, then go to WTC Yonex shop. This shop is also very easy to find. Still their prices (in my experience) were a LOT higher than at First sports - up to 30 - 40 % more. But it is up to you.
Price Check Will like to know the updated price for the following rackets: 1. MP88 2. AT800 De 3. AT700 Thanks
First Sport Hi i have a question about First Sports. I have a friend that is going to Bangkok in a couple of days and was thinking of getting her to get me a couple of AT8000s. Just would like to know if they have any stuff which she could get mixed up with when purchasing the racket? i.e. do they sell any fakes and are the Nanospeeds clearly labeled. My friend is thai btw so reading the labels should be no problem. If the chance is high of her purchasing a real one from that place I would rather get the cheaper option from there than the more expensive one from the yonex store.
Really, I went to Thailand 2 years ago. And i got 2 AT800. with free string and stringing. Oh, and most of my friends that play badminton that go to Thailand also gets from WTC Yonex. It is across the street from the Big C department store. Almost forgot the staff of Philippines Airlines also goes to shop there. So i guess they do sell stuff to foreigners. For your information, Thailand is a Tourist Destination.
Sorry for the late reply, but in my experience First Sports doesn't sell fakes. And if your friend speaks Thai then it shouldn't be a problem to buy AT800's from there. Don't buy with list prices though...
They do sell to foreigners, but with higher prices. 2 - 3 years ago it was different, when anybody could buy with a very low price also from Yonex shop - not any more.
Hi fellow badders in bkk, do you know the prices for the following Yonex rackets at those shops behind National Stadium? 1. NS 8000 3U 2. AT 700 4U 3. AT 800 DE 3U 4. MP 99 3U Thanks a lot
just take the bts to national stadium...it should take you only 10-15mins. the shops are a bit of a walk from the bts though...
was there just a few days ago. first sports doesn't have anymore stock of ns8000, and AT800 (def & off). didn't ask about At700 and MP99. went a few shops down at sport marketing. here are their prices: ns8000 - 3750baht at700 - 3150 baht no stock of at800 as well. they have plenty of mp99s but didn't ask the price...they sell genuine yonex rackets and the guy is ok. he's the son of the shop owner i think...here's their address: 847/7 rama 6 rd., patumwam, bangkok tel: 214-1390 hope this helps...

Any latest updates about NS9000's availability in Bangkok and the price? Also can someone update the prices of other available models in Bangkok? Thanks
Hi Vince, I got my NS7000 for B3150 early this month. Stringing BG85 for B220. It was at a shop around there (next to stadium). Saw NS8000 but didn't ask the price. didn't see any NS9000 though.
Yo madman, I'm gonna buy an AT700 there, if I buy at First sports, 99% is genuine one right? where did u buy yours?
Hi *Lightningsmash*........ There are a quite a lot of sports shops selling badminton rackets there. Ask around for the best deal. I assume u know where they are located, about 10 minutes walk from Tokyu's main entrace at MBK. All are genuine TH-coded rackets, as far as I know. Good luck and happy shopping. Oh yes, they dun accept credit cards and Sing/Mal notes, so ensure you have loads of Bahts before you go there. No money changers. Nearest available money changers at MBK. I was there but did not have enough Bahts and had to return the next day................
Thanks for the tips madman. I'm not going...(no marnee) My sister is going so I'm asking her to help grab me one. And I'm pretty sure she cant tell if its a fake yonex, thats why I am asking for your help. Thanks again.
Thanks for the info. I will be heading to BKK on early August. Next to decide is which racquet to buy. Sigh...heh
