Bought this racket (Yonex Voltric FB) from Yonex SunriseClick Singapore two weeks ago.
It's my 3rd purchase with Yonex SUnriseClick, so far no major quality problem.

However, when i was trying to smash today, the racket broke into two. Not clash, by just smashing it broke.
I have never seen a racket broken into two. Is this normal?

Fortunately, the flying head did not hit anyone. Authentication has been done also, not a counterfeit racket.

You should see the amount of shaft breaks seen over at badmintoncn. It's a serious quality control issue.

I am a bit suspicious of these ultralight racquets. I don’t think they can really take much hard trauma.

i have been using the same model since 3 years ago. No issue so far. :(
Only cracked twice (same model), and this is the 3rd racket (same model), but this time is broken into two! Bought less than 2 weeks!
Arisa Higashino was using the same model. Haha

omg, it's a genuine one and yet quality issue. Nowadays, quality issue everywhere, this applies to Japanese cars as well. Honda, Nissan, etc, so many news come out recently. Sigh...

That should be covered by warranty. Is it made in Japan or?

definitely not normal. the carbon at the shaft is rolled from a sheet and there isn't a inherent mechanically weak spot there. the only explanation is manufacturing fault.

But there is no trauma in this case, just a regular smash. Or is his smashes as hard as Ginting? Wkwkwk...

Nevertheless, suetyan can definitely get a replacement from Sunrise. Mine got replaced when it broke during 1st stringing (27lbs), just have to be patient. Took abt 1 month to get replacement from Sunrise, in Surabaya, Indonesia

    manufacturing fault =.=
yes, it was just a regular smash. Moreover, I am a female! Unless I have the same power as Arisa. lol
Ohh, took about 1 month to get replacement! Well, it's fine, i still have rackets to use. As long as they replace for me, I am okay to wait for a month.

Just received the email reply from them:

"Please be informed that we have forwarded the details to Yonex's quality team for further inspection. The defective racket will be collected for investigation upon the instruction from them."

hopefully. They just replied me. They will arrange to collect from my house tomorrow for further investigation before coming to a conclusion.
Last time did they also arrange to collect from your house? So, from the date of collection until the day you receive a replacement, it took about 1 month?

No, i just left it at the shop i bought it from. The shop informed me when it was replaced n thankfully, they even allowed me to exchange to another model of equivalent or higher value. It was not FB though, it was a cheapie Sunrise product Nanoray Tour 33 (still "made in Japan", ;);)).
