No not much difference. The black regular width are already good snug fit for me, I have gotten no blister or anything. THe wide just seemed a little bit more roomy but I think I like a tighter fit actually

In Korea they already have a new colorway but for the mid cut. Look here.

Black one is good, the grey mid cut which I think has been out for just as long or almost as long as the 3 colorways, is decent, but many people don't want a midcut. In your review you mentioned that the normal width one [Black] is already awesome for ankles, so I preferred the black one anyway. From a scientific POV, exploring google suggested midcut doesn't even statistically necessarily help anyways.

Was thinking of getting the wide ones, especially as I'll be playing in orthotics after I'm finally healed [I use Yonex shoes for Table tennis and badminton as I find they are of higher quality that TT specific shoes], but they are too wide even with the orthotics taking up some space, and the ugly yellow doesn't really incentivize getting them.

So I too look forward to more colorways especially to start mixing and matching [i.e. Say Black left shoe and lets say a Red right shoe, both Eclipsion Z2 normal width] for TT and the Red Left shoe and Black right shoe for badminton - you want a set of shoes for each sport anyway. Badminton wears shoes out much quicker, so it works out cheaper to separate it for each sport, and mixing the colors just helps you dazzle your opponent and stand out a bit more.

Quick feedback on your review: A really good job, I think you spoke and did really well, especially considering it was one of your first attempts! For many users you were super nice in showing pictures of the other shoes / options when comparing, instead of just assuming everyone knows about every shoe by name alone. At this time I'm very interested so know all the shoes and what they are for, which colors are available and for which widths, but that won't always be true!

Just giving as much information that's pretty relevant is a good thing to do. Everyone prioritizes different things in different shoes, especially as most of us aren't podiatrists, and even those guys aren't badminton focused specialists, so it's good you gave as much information as you could.
For sure scripting it a bit more can help condense the video a bit more, but as a viewer we can always alter the playback speed depending on how dense or otherwise the information being conveyed is - so not a problem for me.

Just destroyed my Yonex SHB 65 Z2 Wide model. Side on right shoe finally gave up and large split emerged. For next couple of sessions I will use my spare Yonex Eclipsion Z Wide 2019 model but am looking for new shoes.

I am torn betwwen Yonex Eclipsion Z Wide 2021 model and Yonex SHB 65 Z3 Wide model. The later ones I would have to order from abroad and wait for a while. Does anybody have experience with both new shoes and could give me some pointers about performance?

Comparing my old Yonex Eclipsion Z Wide 2019 model to SHB 65 Z2 Wide the first ones were a little more comfortable for my toes (I have very wide toes) but 65 Z2 were faster and in my opinion and gave me more feeling during the movement. Both old shoes were similar regarding grip, shock absorbtion and ankle suppport.
