Japanese ladies are facing each other nonetheless, each bring the coach(es) along. Are they playing for different club? UNISYS vs. Anake's ?? I thought national players are on their own when they are facing each other.

Fox is a die hard fan of SK, among others, though a bit disapointed lately I suppose

Lin Dan's current physical condition is concerning. Yesterday at the post-match interview he admitted he was already very tired even before the match ended and felt relieved he won it in two sets. That's telling, isn't it ?

In that case, I think Axelsen's chances of winning is higher should it go to three sets. Lin Dan still need some time to work on those issues affecting his lacklustre form recently, and it's only been three weeks or so after his WC dismal performance, I for one won't expect his problems to be resolved so soon.

Looks like I overestimated Akane thinking she has raised her game another level, improved she has but her impressive performance here is more owing to her being highly motivated playing on home soil. Still I believe she will continue to improve, time is on her side at age 18/19.

About a month ago at the Chinese Taipei Open, Nozomi was thumped by LXR, here she is crowned champion beating Intanon en route - that's how it is among the top 15/20 WS players nowadays.

I wouldn't mind taking Snoopy's place hugging Nozomi

A bit disappointed with Akane today, I feel like saying WSX would have put up a better fight against Nozomi.

For Lin Dan fitness is the issue, he'd better win it in two or else Axelsen is likely to take it in three.

Is Axelsen the tallest MS player in the circuit? Perhaps the Russian Ivanov ?

A tentative start by LD, caught several times by VA's x-net shots.

VA only take one shuffle to get to the corners.

GC talking rubbish. LCW won so many superseries, because LD didn't contest in 2013 and 2014. And superseries came into being just recently.

LD rallying too much, conserving energy or trying to drain some of VA's ?

Also, the number of competitions won doesn't matter, their quality needs to be taken into account as well.
