I think Chen Long is trying to do a Lin Dan. Lose some, win some and win all majors. Number 1 or not is not important.

I think Lin Dan used to loose very less before he won his first Olympic and didn't mess China's Team Events winning chances.Am I right?

Chen Long's girlfriend advances into quarterfinal in very gruelling 91 minutes tie against home qualifier Ayumi Mine, 15-21 / 23-21 / 21-14.

What has talent or speed gotta do with a mathematical ranking system??? It's a sport, not a beauty pageant.... Those who win ugly will rank higher consistently than those who lose despite displaying talent, potential etc.

Rest of the world top players trouble Marin in way more different ways than Marin can trouble the Chinese players. Seems to me that the Chinese still don't know what's wrong.

Another 3 setter by a Japanese against Marin.

The home WS players really deliver hard time for top two seeds.
