Oh my my just 5 hrs away from my lappy (two consecutive coaching classes :( ) and what do I see so so many close encounters!!!
AT/MM won 30-29 that's breathtaking.. But that also means Kor pair has improved a lot lately!
LCW vs CL shitzzzz LCW should've won this one (although I predicted the same result)
Most shocking one is undisputedly WYH def WSX..Can't believe my eyes but love the scoreline ;) :p

Melati Daeva is former World Junior Champion with Edi Subaktiar in 2012. INA got some strong backup for XD. Really excited to follow and former World Junior Champion Edi Subaktiar/Gloria E.W is in the verge of entering the top 10.

I think this match was good for Chong Wei, win or lose. From this match, Chong Wei knew he is still in par with the world #1. The only familiar problem was he still lost a very winnable match due to mental toughness which impedes him from further greatness!(what else is new?) I hope the change in scenery to Morten Frost/Hendrawan combo can push Chong Wei to the new height in coming World Championship and Olympics else "no eyes to see":crying:

Overall, I think Chong Wei is in the right track!

I agree. Before the ban, LCW was losing to CL regularly anyway. At least this shows that he hasn't declined at all, in fact, as this time it was in three games, I would say has gotten better.

The LCW - CL rivalry is very similar to the Federer - Djokovic rivalry in tennis. We are all witnessing the decline of a legend and the rise of another legend. With how things are unfolding, I think CL will win gold at Rio next year. LCW will be lucky if he advances past the semifinals.

I think it's too early for me to start making 2016 Olympics predictions. I don't know how LCW comeback will play out yet.

One step at a time, if LCW win the coming World Championship then we can further declare he shall win the Olympic Gold else he still shall win the Olympic Gold, potentially :D
Win win situation, Malaysia Boleh, Malaysia spirit, Malaysia dream!

Looks like lots of players held back their true form this tournament - Zhang/Zhao, Lin Dan, Ahsan/Setiawan, LYD/YYS. Consequently, perhaps aside from WS and WD, there are some very unexpected finalists.

And to be honest, the only decent contest will be LXR vs WYH. The others will be blowouts or rather boring I reckon.

They held back? I very much doubt it. Besides, I'm going to say this about Lin Dan for the first time. He *deserves* to lose. WTF was he thinking in the middle of a match and suddenly decided to spend time covering up a logo on his pants? Totally unbelievable.

If he hadn't tried to cover up the Yonex logo on his shorts, he would've been in contravention of his Lining attire contract and would've faced a fine...

But the time out actually benefitted Chou the most as he needed that time the most to recover for G3.
