Hope he (A) makes the team (B) finds it important enough to participate (C) decides winning is more important than having a carnival party at Copacabana.
D is the likeliest, but the dream scenario would be LD v LCW playing for a medal and KS defeating a compatriot in the final.
LD is the greatest ever but if Chen Long continues to dominate the tour for the next few years like he has in 2015 and wins Rio 2016, he launches a steady challenge. LD's weakness was although he always showed up in the biggest matches, LCW was the more consistent performer. CL already has as much/more SS titles than LD right?
I am just happy with LD winning the Gold...KS,needs PG's attention and time to get past R32....Needs to fear 'Failure'.
No, but he juggles the strengths of both LCW and Lin Dan - consistency on the tour (YE No.1, Super Series etc.) and big wins (World Champs, Olympic Bronze + hopefully more to come). It'll be very difficult for him to repeat those massive achievements, but if he can find success where LD didn't, he's up for consideration.
Er... I thought this topic was about the French Open? Nice win by the Dutch girls, though I thought that with a little more patience the Indian girls could be more troublesome.
WSX!! Thought it was gonna go to 3 after she went 15-19 behind but good job to finish it off in 2. Definitely a late year surge for Chinese WS after they realised how catastrophic the WC's were. LXR and WSX both re-finding their form lately.
Given his ranking, KS is surprising bad. Excluding team events, KS only won a Super Series ON his own turf and one GP Gold. For the past seven tournaments, KS at most made to the round of 16, or worse. The same is true for LD, but at least he won gold in Japan open and the Asian Championship, semi in All England, and final in China open. So your scenario is likely a dream. I would rather dream of a scenario that CL, VA, LCW, JOJ, KM and LD are drawn in the same half, while all indians are drawn to the other. And hope that the non-Indian who made the final give a walkover. I mean, seriously?
Completely understandable. Which is why I'm not saying he will displace LD, just that his name can be floated around.
Ohh... so it's only 10 more months of chit-chat? Anyway, no frustration here mate, having just seen my favourite WD grab a spot in the quarters.
Yup,and guys are compairing LD's 2015 to Taufik's last few years in LD's thread....I mean SS,Asian Champion...is it that bad?
