I am broke. If we can't reach the final and win tournaments, our prize money is not enough to cover the expenses.

Chou Tien Chen experienced 80 minutes marathon match once again to overcome Kenta Nishimoto in many grueling rallies, big question mark that the former champion still has enough stamina to face Heo Kwang Hee, the dark horse who steals attention suddenly as Momota conqueror. The top-seed Momota seemed lost focus or fatigue arrived too early in mid first set, 14-7 then Rhustavito got second wind to narrow the gap 14-13 then it was neck-to-neck battle until Momota seal opening game 21-19. Another fitness level test for two-time World Champion to meet compatriot Kanta Tsuneyama who beat him once when he started to make comeback into international scene, CAN Open 2017.

Third meeting in one month of Yamaguchi-An SY duel where these two players sharing one victory each, still fresh memory that the Korean retired in DEN Open final due to thigh injury, long match is projected to determine the winner of this tie. The Japanese thwarts Chochuwong through tough three games in 70 minutes duration while An vanquishes Yeo JM in relative comfortable fashion. World Champion Sindhu is favoured to book last round berth, her opponent Sayaka Takahashi eliminates Ratchanok Intanon who's still troubled by shoulder injury.

A big surprise that 2014 World Champions cruising into semis after long absence, Ko/Shin beat notable veterans The Daddies in three games yesterday, first ever meeting against Tokyo OG bronze medalists today. It's been a while since 2020 World Tour Finals early this year INA MD entered final round of top-tier event, Alfian/Ardianto defeated the Minions in last two encounters, still doubtedly about the defending champs current struggling performance.

Women's doubles juggernaut facing off each other, pretty much predictable scenario, they have depth over other competitors here in the absence of China pairs despite Japan only represented by one scratch pair and third-ranked combo.

    upload_2021-10-30_10-59-16.png

Jordan/Oktavianti can't defend their crown, ousted by HKG southpaws, a really balanced clash in opening game that ended 21-19 for Tang/Tse then as usual fashion, the Indonesian players committed relentless uncharacteristic errors alternately showing dismal form between the elite combinations.

    SEMIFINAL ORDER OF PLAY

Why is BWF.TV skimping on coverage of all the other matches. I mean, they’re YouTube channel has been monetized so every view counts. And with Millions of subscribers, it’s a big moneymaker. Are they short on commentators, cameramen?

I find that the Japanese paring are always nervous at the start. Over half of the Thai pair's point are from unforced errors, mainly from Yuta

    Maybe age or injury?
She is reminding me a little of GLY...

Just a little ... at least Sapsiree is more active ...

There will always be one. How can all 4 players be good at the same time?

Both Sapsiree and Dechapol look bland. Perhaps playing 4 tournements in a row (SC,TUC, Denmark, France) really taking it out of them.
In contrast, Yuta and Arisa had a break during TUC (Arisa only played once).

You're right, but I mean...she look really bad out there. like morten said her defense usually are pretty solid, a lot of miss hit came from her racket as well

Whichever pair wins today will most likely be champions.
