ah i see where the confusion comes from... still court 2 has 3 MD that at least 1 or 2 of them should be substituted with other match on court 3 / 4....come on surely you know this to be true InoKa vs YutEndo...come on.... this hasn't even count hawkeye availability on court 3 / 4 .... come on....
Haha, I agree InoKa vs YutEndo should not be there (unless it were the only match with JPN players, which it is far from). Put ASG or VA or RI (for the Russians) instead. Hawkeye is a good point, but I doubt it is a factor here. I can live with one slipup in R2 though.
Kento had a tough first round match with Tzu. Tzu's all out attack and furious pace rattled Kento whose normally calm and excellent defence faltered as Tzu punished any lifts short of the baseline and normally solid defence of Kento, panicked and Tzu's smashes gone through many times. Momota had to increase his own pace and get on the attack himself, which he rarely does. Very entertaining match, if only it was shown on BWF Youtube. There was no long rallys and Tzu's net play was better than Kento. Morton Frost mentioned that to beat him, opponent should go all out attack, just like Shi did in their encounters.
These days players prefer to win FrenchOpen compared to KoreaOpen. Why? because its money that matters.
Korea Open used to be higher tier (was it premiere?) and nowadays French Open is super 750 while Korea Open is only Super 500.
Korean badminton scene is not in great shape right now.. lack of success, unenthusiastic fans, few sponsor, all good coaches went abroad. Their WDs are much improved though, challenging JPN hegemony in the category.
Well, it starts at 2 Local time. Can easily play till midnight with 8 WD matches if the shuttle is still slow. Morning Asia time.
