Venue : Odense Sports Park Total prize-money : US$600,000 Tournament website : http://www.badmintondenmark.com/cms/...33&pageid=1649 Odense time : http://www.worldtimezone.com/time/wt...ma=Find%20Time Order of Play (12.00pm local time, 2 courts) : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...032FB5-FD58-4259-A71C-4A4B52A4C4FE&d=20141018 Well, the semifinal round is on the way, several matches involve players from same nation which mean they have secured final spot, INA (XD), CHN (WS, WD, XD) and JPN (WD). MS, the underdogs Kashyap and Tian HW have produced sterling performance here, well done! Let's see if they could repeat same feat against Chen L and Son WH today. WS goes to scenario, top-4 seeded players in last four. Will Sung JH deny all CHN final? Tough task for her. MD, Lee YD/Yoo YS v home hero Boe/Mogensen and Fu HF/Zhang N v reigning World Champion Ko SH/Shin BC should be noteworthy matches to watch, no wonder the organizer put both ties at TV court WD, CHN v JPN, on paper Wang/Yu v Matsutomo/Takahashi for finale XD, CHN v INA, Widianto/Dili created a breakthrough to stun top pair Fischer/Pedersen yesterday, don't think they will pass Ahmad/Natsir. The same story for Liu/Bao who will be up against their senior Xu/Ma.
CLELY I shudder to think what we'd do without you! :crying: Surely your seat in heaven is a given!
Probably because they will stream both courts anyway so it really doesn't matter which court they put which match on. Unless you want to hear GC's commentary.
Don't worry cobalt, any BCer can replace me to create thread regularly That makes me wonder too, maybe I guess it's about the fairness as both KOR and CHN already have 3 matches at TV court.
too bad they put MJ/TYT vs WYL/YY on court 2. their previous encounter at All England was one of the best WD in years.
Indeed she's our reliable Tournament BCer. Yet she's down to earth. Thanks Clely for your initiative and good work.
It seems the senior INA XD pair is too experienced for their juniors who won G1 21-10. The end is near 20-15.
As it was explained in another thread, the choice of who play on tv court is the result of a negociation between the tournament organisators, the tournament sponsor, and the BWF. The bigest voice is tournament sponsor.
Chen Long is using too many backhands unnecessarily, it won't be effective against Lee CW, more likely a liability; however, it's all right with PK.
Chen Long is cute, telling the service judge "You can't tell where my waist is?" by lifting up his shirt and pointing to his abdomen, and then proceeded to tuck in his shirt.
Usually, I cheer for underdogs. That applies all the time, but for some reason I find CL so easy to cheer for. He strikes me as super likeable and I guess in a way he is a kind of underdog, trying to tunnel his own legacy out from under the shadows of LCW and LD. I bet I'll get sick of it in a few years, though, around the time when he starts dominating the sport.
