Incidentally, Bae YJ has beaten Akane Y twice in their previous only two encounters. But still, watch out for AY as she and Sayaka T were the two JPN players picked by PJB for the individual event at the AG.

Santoso vs CL in the quarters would be interesting

The last time that Kim/Kim were still around on a Sunday was back in the 2013 SS Finals last December. I wonder if they will find their mojo here, again.

Another once-upon-a-time pair that promised a lot seems to have been in the doldrums as well. Will Liu/Qiu be able to pick themselves up here?

Sadly, one of these 2 pairs will have to exit the Danish Open in round 1.

All of China's power pairs in XD are in the top half of the draw, leaving (technically, at least- and if you forget the small matter of Towi/Lily) a straight run to the finals for JF/CP in the bottom half.

If Praveen/Debby advance to Round 2 it would be interesting to see how they fare against Z/Z -assuming of course, Z/Z also advance.

A lady to watch out for is Selena Piek from the Netherlands. Whether it is WD or XD, she -and her partner- will be the one to treat with respect.

this will be the last tournament for HS/MA coz after denmark open they will be separated, they also withdraw from french open. HS new partner is RAS n MA new partner is AP. so this is will be fun to watch

HS n RAS are likely the same, they both have great skill on front area n same cold emotion, this is like "another chandra/tony"

Wow - this must be the strongest field in MS for quite a while!

With the exception of DP (who I suppose is retired now) - we have to go all the way to World Rank number 19 to find the first missing player.

Unfortunately JOJ is playing out of form (he got a minor setback - foot injury - recently when he was picking up his game again in a Danish League match) - he has very low expectations for this tournament.

And also I see that Simon Santoso has withdrawn - I suppose it's an injury?

Apart from that, the field is very strong - also on the spots 20-32, so no easy matches in the first rounds for anyone.

Looking forward to see some high level feather-blasting!

You got them mixed up! RAS (Ryan Agung Saputro) is only good playing in the back with his strong smash. He is never comfortable playing in the front. The one is always good playing in the front is AP (Angga Pratama).

I wonder which pair will go up in ranking first MA/AP or HS/RAS? Would MA/HS defend their title at the Super Series Final this year?

Simon withdrawed again? What is his excuse this time? another illness after Dengue fever? Since he was recalled back after he won Singapore Open vs. LCW, he has not been at form. What is going on with his training at Pelatnas?

I think Rexy knows the upside of Angga and Ryan. This new partnership is supposed to break the norm and give fresh look into both players. He should split Berry/Ricky as well.

Carolina out? What a shame. Still having a party? I did notice she had an ankle strap on the WC which she wasn't wearing in Australia. Perhaps still trying to recover from an injury.

Somebody posted that LCW's grandmother just passed away recently. I guess he is staying home to go through procession?

Please check LCW thread in Malaysian's player forum.
