Been injured and completely out of any activity for most of the year, will be coming back for a proper review as i haven't been able to do anything more than walk in them. Width seems fine, even with voluminous orthotics. As always, use the CM size and you'll rarely go wrong with any shoe lengthwise. Seem like a good shoe but hard to know without wearing them in properly. 65zm2 are the best court shoes I've worn to date, but wanted a shoe that was focused on protection for the foreseeable future for both Table Tennis and badminton Visually both shoes are fantastic.
Yes - All of my past shoes since I became an adult have been the same CM size in terms of length. Whether badminton [Yonex, Victor], Table tennis [Many different types of Mizuno], or Runners [Too many brands to list - Nike, Adidas, Hoka One One, Asics]. I sincerely believe if you stick to the CM [JPY] size, that is very comparable across brands. US / UK is certainly not. The fit might be very slightly different, that'll only be known after the EZ2 are broken in. However, there is no question that the 28.5 is the correct size for me, obviously there might be 0.1cm more space in one plane or another in either shoe, post breaking in etc.
I recently bought comfort z2, it's pretty tight. I wear size 8, it's a bit difficult to slide my feet into and is pretty tight a shoe. Will all these problems go away after some weeks, I mean will the shoe loosen up after some weeks??
99.9% of shoes need to be worn in. Also, never use US sizing, as it's not comparable between brands. Use the centimeter (CM / JP) sizing to compare between brands. Its not perfect, but it is significantly better than using US / UK / EU etc. Its possible you are a size 8 in one shoe, and 8.5 in another, for example. Shoe width is also important.

I've been using Comfort z2 for more than 6 months and I'd say look for shoes with more stability, it's not stable......takes time to adapt. Go for 65z2
I've found the length to be very accurate, what I do is look at my shoe size [i.e. for running shoes, of various brands over the years]. For me, that's 28.5cm. For some shoes that's a size 10.5US, some that's an 11US - the point is to look at the JP (CM) length. That's not the length of my foot though. That's the shoe size on the label (JP / CM). Heel to toe length according to the 3D scanner at a foot store was 268mm and 269mm, because you want a little space at the front of your shoe / you are wearing socks etc, that take up some of that 15mm. I.e. my heel to toe length is 26.8 and 26.9cm, my shoe size is 28.5CM for all brands [nike, yonex, victor, hoka, asics, CK]. Just check your shoe size for various shoes you wear, and get the corresponding CM size. For width, I trust your foot is very wide, because Yonex wide shoes are very wide.
So it means your foot length is 268mm, and u choose 285mm shoes? Thats quite big up from your foot length tho.
Cause i ask one of the badminton store online and they said just take the size true to your foot length.
I literally cannot put on 280mm or 282.5 mm shoes, can't even get half my foot in! 285mm fit perfectly. I've got about 0.8 pinky at the front and nothing at the back. The podiatrist and foot specialist both agreed. I also think when you look at charts for foot vs shoe length, many advice wearing socks, which would already put me around 275-277mm, and the 3D scanner also is going to give a smaller measurement than tracing your foot around paper, with a pen(cil). When i traced it as close as i could, without socks, you get 273 odd mm
I think its simple, just match the cm size to your current shoes. I tell everyone this rule, and everyone is very happy. 0 complaints out of dozens, and i typically follow up as well. Matching US sizes is fraught across brands, cm sizing is far more consistent.
I have been a loyal CFT user.Started with CFZ then onto CFZ2 and I have been more than satisfied with the cushioning.The only grouse I have with the CFZ2 is the tongue,not sure why they have it the way the way have it,makes slipping in the feet that much more difficult.Having said that I wanted to know if there is a successor to the CFZ2 in the market yet as I am due for a purchase now.Thanks in advance.Since I am a heavy built person,heel cushioning is of utmost importance.Thanks in advance!
