Well that snapped yesterday so what did I do? I ended up getting another one but in green this time.

Stringer told me axelsen has his rackets at square tension and suggested the same to me so instead of +2 it's square this time.

    Let's see how this goes.

First time trying AB with my preferred tension on my favorite racket. Let‘s see how it goes. :)

But VA has 10% PS on his aerobite setup added. That will make a square job totally different, because it overcome the friction of the crosses better than without.

Please report. What did you use? 12kg square? I was keen to give aerobite a go on the next jobs, too.:D

I was using 12/12.5 kg with 10 % PS. Really like the control this setup offers, the thicker string also helps preventing too much string movement early on. If you like BG80, you might enjoy it. I prefer Aerosonic only for the edge in power it gives me. I think Aersonic has spoiled other strings for me forever. Once you go 11/10 repulsion, you never go back (unless you're a hard hitter maybe). :D

He must have added PS then I assume. I give him the weird requests nowadays. Adds a lot more humour to the interaction as a whole.

Him: So what’ll it be today?

    Day 1: Lin Dan.
    Day 7: Axelsen.
Day 13: Japanese player. (Momota is known just as the Japanese guy with high tension and +2).

Got to admit the blue and white is the best colour combination for this string but had some white and green kicking about so put it up to 30lbs on my victor bravesword LYD, can’t wait to try it

What's with the loose red string at the bottom?

That’s just a rough and smooth string

I've been playing and coaching with AB 25x26 (no PS) in my Duora 8XP for a few weeks now. Really liking the combo, effortless power and control is perfect. Aerosonic seems to activate on smashes and clears. Aerobite gives such accuracy, I coached a beginner overheads earlier and when feeding him he didn't need to re-position himself before striking the shuttle.

String will break soon. Aerosonic cutting into the Aerobite but not bad durability considering I hit shuttles virtually every day.

Broke yesterday. Durability OK but would last longer if the AS didn't cut into the AB.

Spare 8XP strung with NBG 98, on a par with AB power wise, better sound, but slightly inferior for slices and tumbling net shots due to slippery / smooth texture.

Liking AB so much, restrung with this instead of 66UM which I was going to trial next. Need the control of AB.

NBG98 snapped last week. Re-strung with 66UM. Snapped 66UM twice within 3 days. More of a "bang" sound from UM but noticeably more power from AB both strung at 25x26. Clears on AB were going a foot out and more body smashes unreturned from a decent defender.

    Going to stick with AB.

Just putting it here since I'm on a topic with a mate that no pro (even Kento) uses the GREEN Aerobite....

SO WRONG! Tada!!! But hmmm... this kinda makes him the only pro to have used the entire color range of a string? Bit of a stretch but still, I can't recall off hand who used both white and orange of the BG80P... Maybe Gade?

    Whatever. Here we go.

Didn‘t know Peter Gade used BG80P. But he used light blue BG80 for a while.

PS = pre stretch, means the strings get pulled slightly over the desired tension (mostly 5 to 10%) for a moment to get better tension holding.

I see, I suppose it’s better to PS the string than to go without ?

Depends what string you use and what you like. I dislike the PS because it makes the string a high tension less lively and can destroy your racket. Some people would never play without prestretch. It's not a question of better or worse. It's just a question what string you use (some string don't retain tension well) and what you like.
