The string feels dead after a couple of games even if it did not break, i guss the coating and etc just wears off too fast! i strung at 25-26lbs
i have similar experience with BG66UM. the feeling of the string right out of the machine is pretty good, crispy and fast. but after a week or two, the feel of the string becomes dull and dead. the crispiness is gone. next time i will increase the initial tension by 2lbs to see if that makes it better.
exactly the same sentiments here. currently trying to switch to bg66um SP becoz it is much cheaper than maxima. but i notice the string's feedback becomes really dull and dead during my 2nd game. when freshly strung at 27lbs, it feels great. have not encountered such phenomenon when using maxima. guess tat i have to switch back to maxima ($$$). anyone else with similar experience with bg66um?
bg66UM is good for 2 weeks only later its loss its tension badly i see it, i feel it, i move away from it who cares about durability if string in such bad shape...no much fun to enjoy from it anymore.. for me bg66UM is a 2 week string even it not break! kindly share with me on your exp...maybe only happen here... thats why i follow LCW moving to old string instead... why wanna change to new string when the old string is better...
Been using the BG66UM on Arcsaber Zslash with 24lbs for more than 3 months (once a week) now. I really love it at first. Now I'm not sure if I'm also experiencing the same way with you all about this string that looses tension quickly. But I feel differently now compared 2 months ago of using it. I feel that my clears are difficult to land at the back of the court. My smashes are still quick but feels different but I really can't pinpoint what's wrong. My question... how would you know if its time to replace the string aside from just of feeling? (giving a doubt... because maybe it's me or some other else). Or am I really hitting the symptoms of loosing tension?
Bro,String r advise to be renew every 3mth even it's not break...I follow them n never failedI ve sticker on my cone recorded date n lbs I used...
I noticed the same thing with BG-66UM.. luckily I have no choice but to replace it after a week. I find that a lot of strings play poorly once you see signs of fraying -- some strings last a hell of a long time despite the fraying while others like 66 pop very soon.
What is the string's specifications for max tension? All strings should have max tension stated on their packaging. Most high tech strings are only up to 22-23lbs, checked out at gosen's catalog. Please confirm. Any string, being overstreched, will lose/break their molecular structure. Thus, dead strings in a couple of hours play. Please sifu2 confirm on my analysis
Bro, u r rightDon't go higher than 24lbs.Hw for bg66um, seem the tension don't last after two weeks....
yeah i also think that the string 'dies' after a week or two. nonetheless i still feel that it feels really great when it was freshly strung (y)
