I restrung my Z with BG85 and its a nite and day difference in feel compared to the NBG95 which I think is $hit. +1 for the BG85

Just finished stringing my Arc 10:s with BG-66 Ultimax and BG-66 Maxima. Rackets are identical (actually has the shaft number after eachother). I even put on new and identical overgrip. The tension is set to 26,4 lbs (12 kg). A first test will be this evening. The only way i can tell the rackets apart is to read the text on the strings. So this will be a blind test.

First impresions: they are identical when stringing. Shared grommets are a breeze. They give almost exactly the same ping sound when you hit the strings against your hand.

BG-66 Ultimax will be my first try but BG-66 Maxima is my third go. So far my experience with Maxima has been with mixed feelings. Good repulsion but a bit to soft for someone who loves BG-80 since a decade.

I'll get back later with my impressions.

And here are my first thoughts...

Differences are not dramatic. Maxima is softer than Ultimax, but Maxima has a sharper sound on impact. That's about it, so far. I only played for 75 min. Singles only.

Both strings are very good so far. I had a little more success at the net with Maxima but Ultimax is by no means bad at the net.

    i have try BG66M, i think i'll stick to NBG98 or reguler BG66..... got no power on BG66M, next i'll try BG66UM
IMO 66M was second the worst pricey string beside 66sharp

Just had my racquets strung with BG66UM at the Yonex showroom in Bangkok. String + Stringing cost B$230 (US$7.42). I wonder if Yonex Thailand make any money at all but am happy as long as the cost savings are passed to the consumers. :)

[IMG] Haha ... I wish one of them would start shipping from Jersey/Channel Islands which is part of the UK but not part of the EU and exempt of VAT. Then again it's cheaper already as it is now due to the exchange rate .

I used BG66 to Nanogy98 to BG80 to Zymax 67 (testing only) and now i'm settling with BG66 Ultimax. Get most of my rackets strung with the Ultimax. The best string i've ever use by far.

I feel the BG66 Maxima has the extra touch, and tension lasts a bit longer than the ultimax. For all I know, they could be the same thing!

Aha , finally someone agree with me :D
Bro Chilli , i have tried Maxima n Ultimax both in JP single hard pack. Both are strung on the same racket , same stringer , same tension , but the ultimax did not last me more than 2 sessions.

Thanks Bro Porky for the advice , I only strung with Classic ever since he solved my outta shape PW11 strung by another stringer , Mr Soh's stringing is very consistent , same feel every time , in this case it's more of the string feedback that irritates me n not the durability , so far I have nv broken any strings yet :D , maybe I'm spending too much time picking shuttles 
