wow... calm down. i was only expressing how i felt with the frame for me i feel less HH feel when i used a thicker grip thats all. my own personal feel. no need to lose ur minds
How could it get faster when you do nothing else but ADD extra weight? The whole theory is nonsense now and has always been.
To be fair. Physically speaking, the extra weight below could conceivably act as a sort of counter weight to the head weight. However this would only apply if you play like LYD does with a mid to high grip at all times. IMO only then would you see any possible effect. Otherwise if you're gripping low all the way down, all you're doing is adding weight to the swing and more stress to yourself as a result. And at the end of it all...you don't actually change the physical head weight being swung around at all. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Even then, the lever of the counter weight is so small that you need to add so much mass to compensate...a few cm of overgrip wouldn't effect anything. If I grap really high, I have 60cm vs. 7.5cm. 60/7.5 = 8. Means I need to add 8g at very bottom to counter 1g at the very top. I weight an AC102 which is with strip and foil 6.6g. Scientifical the counter-argument is right, but the way you grip a racket in a useable way makes this negligible. Let's say exaggerated you add 1/4 Overgrip around the butt cap, you will reduce 0,2g at the head, which is in the area of a racket QC or a Victor Powerizer.
Are you implying that there is in fact no scientific foundation behind the highly praised Rotational Generator thingy which made it a marketing hoax all along? You know that such a claim would have made you the main attraction of a let's-burn-a-heretic-bonfire some hundred years back?
I made a simplification of the physics to explain, that a small piece of overgrip has no effect. I really hate to read this so often here over the years. If I got 1$ for each read, I would have my own sporting Hall. Some really think that enough grip will make out of a ZF a FB. On the other hand KGJ hit a bunch of smashs in the net at Korea Open, so maybe the Rotational Generator is a Dschinn which pulls at the handle of some Astrox?
Of course the weight of the head isn't changed - you're right - more weight was added. But what did change was the COM(center of mass). It changes the frequency or angle(I forgot which one) in which the racquet comes around your wrist. It's easier to see(like in slow motion videos) in tennis players because their swing is longer
Yeah but unless you're adding massive amounts of dense grips. You're not actually making a real difference. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Wow, after reading so many posts about magic grip weight, I'm all up to speed for my mythology class .
And i'd never thought that the badminton sport would have it's own share of conspiracy theories Sent from my FLA-LX1 using Tapatalk
