    If the AX99 is a sledgehammer then what is the VTZF2?

    So you are telling me that Kento Momota was using a sledgehammer to win the World Championship title

    Ayy!! I am hoping to do so as well.

    One must use extraordinary measures under such extraordinary circumstances.

    The sledgehammer thing is not from me lol. I saw this comment from someone here.

    I don't want it to be anywhere near as HH as the VTZF2.

    If the whole weight of the racket 3U is 88g, and the weight is not focussed in the head as the VTZF2, then there is no way it is heavy as described by a few here. Like even the 4U feels as heavy as the 3U AX88D. Maybe it is psychological?

    I know it’s not from you lol.. just saying:p

    I never play with VTZF2 so i not sure how head heavy it is. But logically, the sledgehammer stuff should be coming from the head frame itself since it shows AX99 is more HH comparing to the AX88D according to the yonex chart.

    And true i don’t feel quite right when they mention that AX99 is even heavier than a 3U AX88D.

    Anyway, hope i can get the answer soon since i’m heading to the store tomorrow.o_O

    I can play doubles decently with my 4U ZFII.
    It is just that my arm feels so tired for the next few days (after playing for 5 hrs XD).
    I think I should be ok- I am still young!

    But all these mentions of AX99 being so heavy seem to tell me that the "Counter-balance System" did not work as planned, or it is counter-balanced for monsters like Momota and Lee Chong Wei

    @Kingsley90

    Ok cool! We'll wait for a review.

    @Cloud Kim

    From my experience the VTZF2 4U is quite easy to use (i'm old but I have skinny arms) compared to the VTZF2 3U.

    The VTZF2 3U is too tiring for me.

    These guys do not need the counter balanced system. They can make a VTZF2 3U look like a frail stick.

    The counter balance should be for mere mortals.

    Anyway, two school of thought so far for the A99. Either it is too heavy & head heavy OR it is the same thing as the AX88D.

    P.S. Japan Open is starting next week so my mind will be off the racket. After the JP Open there should be more reviews.

    To me, the Astrox 99 and the ZFII feeling are completely different. Astrox 99 isn't head heavier then ZF II. There's no way that is possible. I would rather say Astrox 99 is more like Duora Z Strike with a bit of head heaviness.

    Though I'm physically very strong or atleast stronger then most people I know, I couldn't hold the ZFII without getting tired immedietly. Where as my friend, who is much skinner then me, and is better then me was able to handle the racquet without any problem.

    Racquets doesn't really matter unless you got good techniques. No matter how much racquets you change to find the "right" one, you should rather do that on practicing the skill you lack. Maybe then the "right" racquet will no longer even matter.

    Don't forget ZF2 is compact frame whereas AX99 is full frame. So it's quite probable that AX99 would wield heavier.

    With all these talks about AX99 being heavy/head heavy/unwieldy .. At least there is less likely for any top players endorsing it (Lcw) to be using a repaint instead.

    If only Lin Dan starts using it as well..
    That will be one hell of an endorsement for AX99..

    Honestly Lin Dan has been using ZFII or LDF for way too long. I wouldn't be surprised if he made his change to one of the Astroxs. Maybe even the Z.
    Plus with his current playing styles and wins/losses I wouldn't also be surprised if he announced his retirement soon. I feel like the era of Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei will come to an end *edited from here* very soon.

    I very much doubt LD will change racquets again before he retires.

    I’ve played with another piece of AX99 4UG5 from another friend. Weight perception on this one was lighter and less head heavier than the other friend’s. I wonder if these two have picked the opposite sides of the weights .

    Anyways, my stringing teacher predicts that the frame may have sinking issues due to being soft. Time will prove if he is right.
