Well the 100zz has a unique shaft so it's hard to say what the problem is, but I've seen some Victors break around 7cm below the t joint, which is where the kick point is commonly placed.
There are no of instances where the racket got broken near or just below the handle come. YouTube video would give a good idea in that. My hunch is this could be 1 in 1000... end of the day it is still shaft inside a wood. Shaft inside carbon handle is a failure so there is no other alternative as of now!! Just pray and start ur game !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope, look at the first picture, too short to have slipped out. It completely snapped in half at the weakest point.
Its snapped. Manufacturing defects happens everywhere. Luck. Most common is frame cracks with miss hits. Very normal due to high tension. Shaft a bit rare. 100zz got more flex in the shaft. Good for snapping shots. That is why. I tried it. Btw, has momota just changed to 100zz as well in his recent game with a student where he lost 10-11 ?
No, he is using the blue/gold AX99. You can tell that it doesn't have a big orange part on the blade, and the shaft near the handle is gold-coloured.
Sold off my Astrox 100ZZ (4U). As much as the new 100ZZ is good, i just feel the 88D has better control and easier delivery. The slightly heavier head on the 88D still puts the old model as no. 1 choice for me.
Is there a reason why they put it as head heavier than 88D on the yonex racket chart? I own a 88D (4u) as well but wanted something a little head heavier. just a little, not too much.
So I have bought my 100zz 4U and been using it for two weeks now. At that shop there was 3 copy of the racket and I choose the most even-balanced feel among three. Review from my friends and coach were not great and even asking if its authentic or not. My advice is.. NOT get an even-balanced feeling for the 100zz. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
I would have to second this opinion as my copy of 4u 100zz, when my coach used it for smash defence drill... he make a statement the racket makes him bad at defence. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
I use 88d 4u and Kawasaki k9 as my daily weapons, I own and use a 100zz 4u also. I have very mixed feelings here. I have no timing issues with 100zz. the racket feels very even balanced for me. Defence: the defence is breeze and quick.. no doubt about it as with long handle and short shaft, it’s expected!! Smash: I struggle a little with smash though!! It’s not as effective as 88d and k9. I don’t get the steepness in the smash as I get with 88d and k9. However the quick continuous smashes are very good at 100zz, with 88d I would feel a little tired after 3 continuous fast smashes but with 100zz I can go for 4 to 5 easily. Net: u need to get used to it!! The head weight is very little as compared to 88d and k9 so it took some time for me to get used to it but u will get it eventually as it’s Little easier with long handle and short shaft. Clears: it’s just easy from anywhere!! Drives: What to say!! It would be a good competition if ur opponent has 100zz also otherwise your opponent will definitely lose as it’s very fast!! i kinda agree with that the smash isnt as hard as the 88d but everywhere else it excels over the 88d. i think the 88d is too stiff. the 100zz 4u is just more balanced especially for doubles play. im not surprised they made the 88d pro a bit more flexible
so if you feel smashing with 100zz isnt as hard as the old 88d, I think you'll have the same feeling if you using 88s pro to smashing
My second high end racket and first yonex racket ever, previously used N80II. Specs: 4u, BG66UM @ 25lbs. I was (and still am to some extent) a Li Ning fan, this piece feels really nimble, fast and downwardish to swing, really nice feeling, the only thing I am afraid of is durability given his is 4u and 6.3mm shaft and yonex being yonexy durability, other than this concern I am really looking forward to hit with it. Will be back asap with a review and possibly a comparison with N80II (havent played with it in a while), hope I will be able to give something back to this awesome community of knowledge sharing.
Well you beat me to it, and I m not interested in racquets anymore (becoming a Sneakerhead) I even donated my N80II
You've got a massive congregation of aggressive collection, you can afford to a break for a while. I will still get some but not more than one or two a year [I want to enjoy and give-in to a racket for some time before I switch].
