Just a quick impression and it’s totally based on my personal preference/experience:

just now received my new Astrox 100 ZZ.
The Shaft feels as stiff as 88D and it’s SUPERRRRRR thin. Sometimes there’re some racket that you feel like it’s gonna be a gem as soon as you pick it up in your hand, and it feels like that to me. Unstrung, I can barely feel any head weight and trust me, i compared it with 88S(unstrung), and the head weight felt almost the same to me (my opinion).

    Gorgeous look.
Can’t wait to try them on and see how they perform. Probably have to wait couple of months as all the facilities are closed due to COVID 19 issue.

Found another review comparing zx to zz, stiffness seems the same But he suggests that the former has a heavier head.

So currently there are contradictory opinions about head heaviness of 100ZZ and 100ZX.

Could it be that Yonex actually release 2 spec for the same racket & then hear our opinion which is better?
Well they learn a leason from 1st release AX99 which is very HH & reduce it on next release.

coz following this thread, some say its heavy some say its light. Ofcourse player preference & physical attribute also become parameter that contribute the different between player feel. But well, who knows, maybe its Yonex marketing strategy to release different spec randomly, but unless we get actual spec from each of this people who already own it, we cant say it for sure.

I had 2 and now I have 1. I can tell you for certain it isn't really head heavy. Not just pulling the answer out of my ass but from experience and correlation with relevant comparable data.

Which one did you prefer between your 4u and 3u ZZ?

If I had no injuries defintiely the 3U. It challenged me enough that I wanted to overcome it. But thus life isn't perfect so I'm having to go 4U to ensure I can play when I'm grey and old.

I'm quite intrigued by the reviews of the ZZ and ZX so far,

My playstyle is a playmaker type, before the outbreak I was playing 3-5 times a week alongside 1-1 coaching

I thought this racket was going to be another ZF2/AX99 but the reviews seem to suggest otherwise?

I use an 88S 3UG5 and wondering if anyone has any thoughts comparing the ZZ 4U with 88S 3U

Sounds like 100zz is extra stiff version of 88s

It feels lighter in the head compared to 88D / or at the most as head-heavy as 88s. (It’s just my personal opinion) it’s superrrrr stiff and the shaft is sooooo thin.

    I use a 88S too, that’s why I had a chance to compare both.

I don't know about it being super stiff. Maybe it's because I'm already used to this style of shaft thanks to victor doing the shaft diet since years ago. But yeah. Just my feeling.

I think you feel the racket head light because of longer grip! Can anyone try it by holding bottom of the grip.

could be, but as the BP is just 300 which is slight heavier from slight head heavy racket (pretty confusing word for a simple slight word:D) & the swing force that is close to 88S which could mean the mass not focused on the top frame, then it would be logical for them to feel lighter.

interesting take, this basically means it is a more powerful, more accurate 88s?
