Has anyone had a chance to play with the 4U version? How is it? considering getting one shipped to me from HK.
What an incredible racquet it is in 3U Can’t believe i didn’t make the effort to adapt to this racquet before. Yes, at first, it’s not that easy to play with, I would say the sweetspot is rather small but you know immediately if you’re playing a good stroke or not. When adapting, once you get the timing right, this racquet delivers every time. I would say it’s one of the steadiest racquets I ever tried. No bullshits, no weird repulsion, this is why this thing is known as the ultimate control racquet. Wherever you’re trying, you’ll be confident once accustomed. You just can’t blame the racquet when you’re making mistakes, you know it’s you who made something bad. Steady as f*** It’s manoeuvrability is great too, a solid 8/10, it’s that little bit more manoeuvrable than say astrox 88S 3U to make it sharper on drives Power is solid too, I’d give it an 8/10, not the hardest smasher out there but enough to finish when needed. I’d say it’s that little bit stiffer than what I’m used to so I think with time I’ll be able to extract more power from it. Control, 10/10, great feel, steady racquet head, sharp as a knife on drives or at the net, perfect for guys like me who rely on control and consistency and are physically strong to win, and not on pure power I was looking for a less head heavy auraspeed 90K with the same control attributes and this is exactly what I found. These two racquets share the same DNA even if the top head weight of the auraspeed makes it a little more flexible and powerful but clearly less manoeuvrable than arcsaber 11…
I have 3 of mine stung to 27lbs, and their just fine. I know that many other people who have used an ARC11 strung them up to 30lbs.
No problem going to 30 lbs Just that don't clash or mishit. Arc 11 during stringing at 28 lbs, frame already start to move.
Yeah tension warranty is the only drawback of this racquet. But it’s so good on court that I don’t mind Really impressive control of the game, fast, quite powerful, the complete package
BG66UM and BG80 at 26lbs I’m a die hard fan of BG80 but BG66UM feels really really good on arcsaber 11! Will demo exbolt and aerosonic next time on my spares
I know there are sinking problems but that’s not much of an issue for me as long as the racquet is easily available It plays so well for what I’m looking for in a racquet that this little compromise is bearable And I assume at 26lbs it will not sink too soon…
I had one some time ago They’re not really close… 90S is like an upgraded BS12: not meant for the same play style Arcsaber 11 is stiffer, head heavier (but even balanced), more powerful (smashes carry more weight, harder to defend) Power: arcsaber 11 > 90S Control: arcsaber 11 > 90S Manoeuvrability: 90S > arc11 Ease of use: 90S > arc11 Arc11 is the perfect « do it all » racquet, you can play singles, doubles, mixed with no problem, attack, defend, counter, control the rally… 90S is more catered to a defensive play style and to me it’s great in doubles but I wouldn’t chose this one for singles or mixed
