So my main racket were the AX88Ds in 3U, I have 2 of them. So one day I switched to my NR900 3U when both my 88Ds' strings broke, the headlight and the maneuverability of my NR900 got me thinking again how the 88Ds were perhaps needlessly power inefficient. I did not really gel with them anyway now that I realised; it was more to how I just got used to using them. However, the NR900 was a bit lacking in the power for me. So I decided to pick up another racket which were a little bit cheaper which will not break the bank too hard . So it was in between ARCS11 and NF800. I decided to give ARCS 11 a shot, and used it for the first time yesterday. First impression, just from having a few warm up strokes, I really really like the feeling. I really don't know how to describe this feeling, is it the feedback? I can really feel the shot that I play, like I have full control over it? It's the first time I get such a feeling from a racket, then again I have not used that many different rackets anyway so yeah. The repulsion is amazing, power is plenty, it really is a good all-rounder from what I've read and heard. But there's still some mistiming here and there as expected switching from rackets. All in all, it could just be a placebo effect but really looking forward to the next session with it. I can understand better now why this racket is still selling on the shelves after so many years. P.S. The ARCS11 was strung @27lbs, Aerobite string
That's why till now Arc 11 still in production after so many years. Yonex just can't bear to end of life this model.
Up till now there is no new series that replace Arc series. Guest they still havent found new receipt that could be at least on par with Arc. Tho sadly they didnt even try to strengthen Arc10/11 frame to wishtand higher tension. Tho many have use higher tension allowed & survive but for some other going to pass the limit would mean void the waranty & kinda scare if they accidently broke it.
My friend got 4 and survived 27lbs. I bought 2 and only last 6 months. Sent from my LG-H990 using Tapatalk
I string mine with 28/30 lbs and 15% prestretch. No problems. Except if a outer main is broken and I don't cut it off fast enough.
