Yonex and the YY abbreviation

    Why is Yonex abbreviated to YY on this forum? There's only one 'Y' in Yonex so it doesn't make sense to me. Why not YX? Although that could mean Yehlex I guess. Thoughts?

    Oh I see. I had read about the history of Yonex before but I hadn't realised that the origins were in its original name. Thank you.

    yy is also the logo on but cap and stenciled on strings
