Did BWF switch to some low cost vendor? The streaming quality is far below that of last year. It's not even a good 480p streaming, let alone 720p.

Last year's AE streaming was magnificent.

yes, this year streaming is really underwhelming. yes, you can switch to 720p, but the quality looks like 480p at best..... very grainy picture. and asynch... last year it was true HD.

From the BWF records, LXR at the moment only has 9 tournaments (where the 10 best results count) with 84244 ranking points to maintain her WR1 status. After this AE early exit and skipping the IND SS , I doubt she can remain at the No.1 spot by then.

Right, she had better rest well, recuperate fully, recover her fitness completely and then regain her form to the top again in time for the OG qualification cycle.

you're right about that.

LXR will remain at the top after the AE irrespective of whoever win the title.

With most top players skipping the IND SS we will have a new World No 1 from India in April.
In fact, even if SN lost in the QFs in both AE and IND SS, again irrespective of all other results she will still be promoted to the top spot.
