Just like Jindapon vs Sun Yu, Akane got clobbered in G1 by Intanon. In fact, last week at the GER Open, a few players also suffered one-sided games unexpectedly before finding their footing in the next, the same thing is happening here it seems. Come to think of it, a bit strange but not that unusual actually.

Of late, Akane Yamaguchi seems to have lost a bit of her shine and was upstaged by her 2-yr older teammate Nozomi Okuhara.

Intanon R just scored a resounding two-set victory over the teenage sensation Akane, 21-7 (!) , 21-16 in 36 minutes.

Yes Akane Yamaguchi lost to Ratchanok Intanon. Really an unexpected result. Ratchanok won 21-7, 21-16.

Chou TC, who was surprisingly beaten by Sakai K the previous week, starts here on the right note, taking out the seasoned campaigner, P Kashyap, 21-13 and 21-12 in only 33 mins. Impressive.

Wang Zhengming is not doing good (supposedly, I haven`t watched it), he lost G1 to Takuma Ueda 21-12.

Nope WZM is not...down 9-3 in second game. He feels just so unreliable it hurts

To spare myself the agony, I didn't raise any hopes for WZM.

Qiao Bin would be a much better prospect than WZM, if only he is here.

Just noticed Hsu Ya Ching edged out Michele Li in a three-setter, 21-14,14-21,and finally 22-20. Michele hasn't been performing up to expectations for quite some time now.

All of a sudden, Rumbaka is emerging as the INA MS No.1. He not only performed well last week, here he bested Simon yesterday and Tommy today, dispatching both of them in straight sets by clear margins.

Well we know that WZM can beat almost anyone on a good day and lose to anyone on a bad day

But good for Ueda, he has not performed too well as of late. Unfortunately he will have a stiffer test in CTC tomorrow.

Son Wan Ho tripped as he was moving back for a round the head shot. He does seem to be alright though, no injuries from that.
