yes It could be that even wit VAR you could get it wrong, but in the first place it was too close to call, the rule is, especially considering in what stage match was - you should not call unless you are sure without any doubt, but it was too close not to have any doubts

Every net or line call where the shuttle clips or misses the line by no more than 2 millimetres are the same. Either rely on human decisions or don’t have them at all.

I would rather pros are judged by the same methods and error margin as beginners.

There's a step up in the quality of umpiring as you cross levels in every sport. I'd personally like the top to be as good as possible so keep the umpiring as minimal as possible.

If the lingering psychological burden that comes with doubt about your last point can be eliminated and players can catch a breath by moving on from a sure-shot error after seeing it be so, I'm all up for it. Good decision by the umpire on this one tho.

Also, in other news, Astrox 100ZZ promotion cutting it a bit too close there. Almost ended up buying that victor. Phew. /s

Paul Hand, whose tone of voice and level of excitement I liked, but now find his cluelessness about badminton shot quality a bit irritating. (Still way better than that other British male commentator though.)

Thailand XD is lucky in winning.. look like XD Korea is stronger and has more stamina. CYJ makes a lot of silly mistakes..

PraveenMelati will have preferred the Thai pair after trashing them in their last meeting..

Again the one with the momentum couldn’t quite catch a break to actually win the match. So entertaining these 2 matches.
