I'm thinking about getting these too.
Did you bought true to size or half a size bigger then your normal size?

I bought the shoes true to size. The fit is similar to shb03z but for me it's much more comfortable. For reference, on the Aerus 2 I needed to go up half a size being a more narrow fitted shoes. Hope it help in your decision.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these were pinching my feet to much, so I ended up with the 65z's.

Damn, I had the same problem with the first generation. I thought they fixed it. Better stay away from them then... :(

Yeah, could do that but the problems only appear during play. After the first session my pinky toe was bloody. I would have to try them on court and even though the shop owner probably would let me, it‘s not worth the hassle.

How wide are the Aerus 3's because as a UK size 11.5 I find often badminton shoes are too narrow

The Aerus 3 i find is wider than the general standard width of yonex shoes. The width to me is as wide as the shb03z range with the "inner bootie" but better comfort all around. Someone here said he wear the 65x wide and tried the same size on the aerus 3 and found it comfortable. I took the plunge and bought them online luckily the fit was good and didnt need to go up half a size like other previous generations of yonex's shoes. If the option is available best to try them out as everybody's feet is different.

I bought a pair last week and played couple of matches. I love these shoes as they are super light. I'm UK 9 with slightly narrow feet, but the shoe fits perfectly. I'm also having the same issue with the strong chemical smell, but it is not unbearable though.

How about the comfort of Aerus 3? Is it a good replacement for SHB SC6 LD?

    Yo guys,

want to share my experience with the Aerus 3.... I used to have Aerus 2 where the cushioning didnt last very long.... after I moved to Aerus 3 I felt the improvement.

BUT friend of mine who bought Aerus 3 at the same time as me ... after 3 months of use (2-3 times per week) the bottom of the shoe started to fall apart. I was like... okey it happens...

Now 6 months are gone and mine started to fall apart at the bottom of the shoe as well. Its like the glue or whatever it is does not last very long, because there's no other reason for that....

I got one more pair in the box and thinking about to sell it...

Really disappointed ... paid 150$ in Europe thats too much.

During last night's game i noticed something flapping on the heel area and on closer inspection i see the heel rubber sole that's glue onto the main outsole has come off dangling. I have had it for 7 months but during these times i switch between three pair of shoes so usage is hasnt been alot. This is terrible quality for this level and price of the shoes. Will see if i can glue it back...
