    @2cents,

If you leave out Asian Games for counting the best player 2006, you also had to count off European MS title for Peter Gade.

Cause in all European players only, PG only had 1 rival, KJ. :D

So PG only get one star for Singapore Open.

And LCW only get 2 star for his 2 title, Swiss and Malaysia Open. You also cannot count Asian Badminton title cause it only for Asian players.

    People please,

For those your favourite player only win 1 or 2 title this year, or even did not win any title at all, please don't become jealous and petty by trashing so boring about LD always win all time this year.

Only one sentences: Pray that your fav players train and work harders so they can beat LD next time.

In a competitive level of MS players, LD dominance this year is kind of excellent. So if you are boring to see him win, just hope your fav players already work harder twice than LD had train.

Otherwise in 2007 LD will probably still winning titles if the other players didnot raise their level of playing.

Specially for Indra, please please write your own thread, why TH is the first number one player this year. Really. Even I also agree TH had the best trick and skill of all MS players now, but he definitely didnot showing his 100% level of play this year by losing so much.

And please don't bother to reply this with so many 1001 excuses for TH why he play poorly this year.

Remember less talk and more work for TH and his too addicted fans. I will the first one to congragulate all TH fans if TH can rules MS events next year.

As far as this year count, TH even did not made into top ten list.

You are the "man of wisdom":D and thumbs up for your comment.
I like Peter Gade's style the most, but I won't be diappointed if he loses a match as long as he tries his best... and definitely won't be bored of matches even if he is not involved. If the match involves two great players doing their best to win, then you can't ask for any more.:p

Lin Dan is the best this year, and you can't argue with the numbers... at the very most, you may argue for Chen Hong being the biggest surprise for all his effort and wins this year.

    SO... very TRUE!!!
When they say "when the art and beauty of the game is concerned"... that's like saying "when you take their handsome-ness and clothing style into account, then "insert name" is the best even though he does not win the match.:p

    What you said was right

Since PG and LCW already took the continental champion, so if not counted, they or their fans would complain. Since no one takes the DOHA yet, it should be okay

I don't like those continental championships, Did Lin Dan go there? I don't even like the world championship and Olympics. It's against the professionalization of the sports. IBF can get money for those championship while players gets no money at all. So in order to protect their own interest, IBF will downgrade all open tournaments on purpose. That's the value of European Champion or Asia Champion? Zero dollar. All players work hard for IBF collecting money.

That's the business reason. More important, on sports, it limits most people outside the championships. It's even against the equal opportunity law!!! Now, the whole world is just one click away, there is nothing to be proud of winning either European champion or Asian champion. It's like solitaire comforting, like m*sterb*tion, only you enjoy your fun with yourself.

There is nothing wrong to IBF to collect money. The problem is to collect money right, in the right way to help badminton more popular, more attractive, more athletics with bigger potential joining the game. IBF should not collect money like selling "World Champion" title or "European Champion", "Asian Champion" titles. They should collect money in better organizing all the open tournaments, and attract bigger sponsors.
